Is it me or the AZ search engine is worse now?

After this website upgrade, i've noticed it is much harder to search for specific items.

like for example, i type "Sway bar install" specifically in the TSX gen section and I barely find one on the installation.

i want to find it so that i know what exact size of the hex nut for the endlinks.
but i just noticed that the search engine is like a lot worse. key words for some things turn up nothing found or just very, useless threads.

I got the same results. I tried looking up mugen visors and all these random threads came up. Did it again, and nothing came up.

i think the search function hasn't been upgraded yet from another post i was reading.

i also noticed that it doesn't work, and i think a lot of my subscription threads are gone.

The problem is that with the forum upgrade, our site is too big for the search engine to index and it's causing it to crash. It's like 5 gb of just text, the most that the host people have ever had to deal with. They're working on a solution right now.

If you need to search, you can go to google, then type what you're looking for and right after that put site:acurazine.com

sounds like they need better hardware for the index server.

Sorry to ask a different question but I don't want to start a new thread and it's related to the upgrade - is anyone else having trouble with subscribed threads? Since the upgrade, whenever I subscribe to a thread (by posting or by explicitly subscribing) it gets erased after about a day. Anyone know how to report this, or is there a spot around here to ask? I could not find a "problems" forum.

Use google, type in what your looking for and "acurazine" or something along those lines. Worked for me sometimes.

If you add site:acurazine to the search string it will limit search results to this site. I think they should replace their search page with a form input that hotlinks google's site specific search. It would take no time to implement and it would save them a lot of time and money.

i miss the face of the old site.. for example i'd always bookmark or go to

tsx.acurazine.com
that would give our page with all the new/recent posts on the screen so that i would constantly see whats been updated

now i have to renavigate and scroll all the way to the bottom... to be honest b/c of this i'm not on here as much as i used to be =/
