Talking m3 Lip Spoiler from CorseAutoSports

I recently bought a lip spoiler from CorseAutoSports on eBay. After doing some research and trying to contact Xenonspecialist I went ahead and bought it for $51 shipped. I unboxed it and laid it across my trunk, however, the trunk is slightly curved in the back and the spoiler is straight. After adding a slight bend to the spoiler I got it to fit perfectly but I haven't installed it yet. I was wondering if anyone has any installation tips or if most/all of the spoilers need to be bent slightly to fit properly. Thanks for the help!

I confirmed with seller that the spoiler needs to be slightly bent. I know a lot of members have the lip type spoiler. Is this usually how you go about installing it (bending it)? And any tips?

Yea I contoured it to the trunk's curve.

This thread should be helpful:

Go to that thread and read all the tips, then use whatever feels good to you. Eyeballing the curve as you install isn't that tough as you're simply following the edge of the trank lid.

Get a buddy to help. When installing mine he held the one tip while i went down the rest of the way putting in the curve and pulling the tape off at the same time, worked out really well. do a practice 1st with the tape on.

That's what I did when I installed it. It is definitely recommended to get someone to help you out with the install as well. I got my lip from xenon specialist and I am about to remove it since the things looks like crap now and would need to get repainted.

How do you like the quality of the paint job? The Xenon Specialist one started chipping and also the paint looked like it had faded badly and also started chipping. Also how long did it take you to get one?

I have a CGP and the color and length are spot on. I haven't done the actual install yet because its been pretty cold but as soon as it warms up ill have it on. But just from putting it in place it looks perfect. Corseautosports is highly recommended.

alpiine9, I have the same one in CGP as well. Just have a buddy help you and it should be fine. Mine has been on for a couple months now and still seems fine... hopefully it stays that way in the long haul.

Hey I bought my lip spolier from Xenonspecialist back in 06 or 07 and was happy with the color and fitment. I got it stolen in DC two nights ago. Yes, ripped off my trunk. Now my car looks naked....lol. I tried searching for him on ebay and couldnt find him. Do you guys recommend anyone else. Again, paint match and fitment is important.

CorseAutoSport's M3 Lip Spoiler has amazing quality and finish. Its a lot more durable than Xenonspecialists.

I think if they increased the length by just a tad it would be perfect!
