Low beam HID replacement

Hello, new member here, I am helping fix a tsx and had a few questions regarding the headlights. The car has aftermarket headlight housing so I purchased a morimoto HID kit to install for the lowbeams. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get this kit installed, including what wires should be spliced, etc? Any help would be appreciated. I've never worked on an Acura before!

the car comes with HIDs.....
and by the sounds of it; it sounds like you've installed some sort of HIDs before.
so; why not just go into the engine bay and look around and see what needs to be done.
but the car already comes with HIDs.

so instead of buying the kit; all you have to do is replace bulbs.
you dont have to mess with splicing anything.
I hope you dont splice anything.

THe car comes stock with HIDs.

I just read the part about the aftermarket headlights.
Not sure what kind of aftermarket headlights it is; but the car came stock with HIDs. so if someone upgraded to an aftermarket headlight housing; your best bet is to figure what is going on.
Please take pics of these aftermarket headlights.

The car was bought from an auction and the front bumper was removed I guess when the insurance adjuster was inspecting the car. They also removed the headlights and never put them back on so the car was bought without headlights. I personally like to keep things stock but shelling out $3,000 for the headlights is outrageous. That's on top of me now finding out the navi dvd drive needs to be replaced/reconditioned and the dealership wanted $4,000 for that. I'm going to look into sending it to Alpine.

$3,000 for head lights?
at best; if you bought them from the dealer; it would be close to $1k. but not 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its about 300 per side.
300x2 = 600.

no where near $3,000.00

Also, alpine wants about $400 to refurbish the DVD drive.

The price they quoted me was for the headlight, ignitor, bulbs, control unit, etc. These parts alone were more than $1,500. The owner wanted to get it done at the dealership and we all know how much they charge. So they ended up buying aftermarket headlight assemblies and morimoto ballasts and I'm putting those in for them and I am not trying to accidentally splice the wrong wires.

Wow the Alpine raised their prices smh. Thanks.

okay; we're getting somewhere.

I still stand by my statements tho; the car is already wired for HIDs.
however; if you bought a new kit that comes with ignitor, ballast, and bulbs with a relay kit; then just install that bad boy!

its pretty simple and straight forwards. one ballast with one bulb. and the other ballast and other bulb on the other side.

run the relay to the battery and then hook it up to the ballast.
hide the wires. and voila.

it would also help if you took pictures to see what we are working with.
Because I still think going factory would have been cheaper and better and more reliable. SINCE its already wired for HIDs

The hid kit didn't come with a relay kit but I guess you can call it a +/- wire to 9006 conversion piece. I personally would have gone stock but its not my money or decisions lol. When I get home I'll take pics and show you whats going on.

Here are some pics of what I'm working with. I just need to find the correct wires to splice to attach the new wire to the ballast.

one end of the ballast takes power from the wiring harness... then the other end goes to the bulbs...

I need to find out the best way to connect the ballast to the wiring harness since the ballast has a 9006 connector. Thats why I said I would probably have to do some splicing since I can't find a acura proprietary to 9006 connector relay.
