Loaner Car age restrictions?

A friend of mine who was 21 told me that when he went to get his RSX serviced at Acura 101 West, they told him he had to be 24 or older to recieve the complimentary Acura loaner car.
Is there a universal age restriction with other acura dealerships? I'm 19, and am planning on forking out a good 30 grand onto a TSX. If i'm old enough to buy the car, shouldn't I be old enough to recieve a rental. The VW, Volvo, Mazda, and even Mercedes dealerships around me don't have the same loaner issue. Anyone else hear of this problem?

Rental car companies do this all the time. Why not make this a condition of purchasing your TSX when negotiating with your dealer? BTW, that only works if you plan on servicing your TSX at the same dealer where you bought it. I agree that it sux.

Holy cow, I never asked my dealer if I could get a loaner from them for being under 25. I'm 24 and even when I use my company account to get a loaner, rental companies slap on a daily fee for me being under 25. The fee is around $20/day. Avis wouldn't even let me get a car.
Definately talk with your dealer on their policy on giving out loaners. I mean, if you're going to fork out around 30k for a car and get it serviced there, they better give out a loaner.

I'm 23 and I got a loaner for my last service appointment. I think it depends on the dealer. There are also rental car companies that don't charge extra for drivers 21-25. Most off-airport Enterprise locations are like this.

Before I got rid of my VW I brought it in for servicing first thing in the morning expecting a loaner to get me to work.

Then they proceeded to tell me I had to be 21 to get one so I had to sit there and wait for the car to be done. Needless to say, I was late to work

Hmmm...I hope the dealer where I'm getting my car serviced doesn't have this sort of restriction. I called in my service appointment 2 weeks early and requested a loaner so they better not change their minds at the last minute.

My dealer salesperson and sales manager specifically told me that if I ever need a loaner because my car is in their posession there would be no problems.

I specifically brought up the fact that Im only 23 and they both told me there would be no problems.

A lot of it can have to do with the local/state laws. Also, different rental companies have different policies. When it comes to the Acura loaners at Acura dealers (I state it that way because cars provided by Acura to dealers are a priviledge that Acura provides and Acura owns them, not the dealer), they just want you to be 18 years of age with a valid license and insurance that covers you while driving their car.

Infiniti won't give me a loaner until I'm 21..... I wish they had the same policy as Acura...although I have a feeling that it has a lot to do with MA laws which are known to be harsh.

Chicagoland area: Mullers Woodfield Acura requires you to be 25 to obtain one of their loaners because of their insurance. So they paid for a rental for me. Fawkers should've mentioned it to me before I bought the car

I am 22 and McGrath Acura in Westmont (Chicagoland) handed me the keys to a 2003 TL as a loaner no questions asked after giving them a copy of my insurance card. I mean, if you are paying for and driving a $30,000 car there isn't any reason for them to deny you a loaner...I had to have my CD changer replaced and the service was so great I feel guilty that I took the dealership frames off the car...haha

I bought my TSX when I was 19. My dealer requires you to be 24 to get a loaner also. I just simply told my service advisor if he wanted me to drive 25 miles for service I would be getting a loaner car and if not I would have the car serviced at one of the 3 closer acura dealers.
