Just Ordered My TSX

I ordered my TSX about 2 weeks ago and am waiting for it to come in from Japan - the wait is because I ordered an Artic Blue Pearl 5AT w/Navi (and spoiler ).

It should be in by the end of July or mid-August at the latest.

There are only two ABP 5AT w/Navi's shipping to my area, and fortunately my name is on one of them.

I'll post some picks when I get it. Just wanted to share my excitment(oh, it is also my first new car too).

I just picked up my ABP 3 weeks ago. It was the only ABP on the lot. Good choice!

I don't know where you live, but there's an ABP 5AT/Navi at Bradshaw Acura in South Carolina. Stay with your order, though, because that's the one I'm having shipped here. :P But I didn't think they were that rare, either.

I live in the Washington D.C. area. The dealership I am buying it from usually has maybe 4 -6 TSX's max in stock, and not once since April have I seen an Artic Blue Pearl there(I have taken in some other cars of my families for service, besides being there to test drive, etc).

Another dealership said they'd have to order it too.

It is ok, my 1993 Honda Accord EX can last another month or so anyways, so no rush - I plan on driving this TSX for at least 8 years and want to have the color I prefer.

I totally understand you not wanting to waver on color. I was just telling my wife that if Brashshaw sells the one we've got our eye on, then we'll wait. Paying this much for a car, I'm getting it EXACTLY the way I want it. I hear ya.

Dude what the hell are you....some kind of boot leg clone of me. LOL!!! j/k. :pfawk:

I have the same exact car, but without spoiler because I wanted the M3 spoiler. BUT also, I drove a 1992 Accord EX before this car.....now if you tell me that you are a software/system engineer, I am going to have to hunt you down and take you out before you take over my life. LOL

CONGRATS and welcome to the ABP club. I think its definitely the best color....sorry CGP peeps!

Just a quick update. Um, I think it's late July now (it is the 26th) and no mention of my car yet. It was due to be in late July to mid August at the latest.

My dude at the dealership doesn't want to give me a more exact date yet b/c it is being shipped in and doesn't want to get my hopes up :fingerfawk: just kidding though, because I do not blame him because I would probably be even more annoying if I knew..

I just am excited and want my dang car already.

Btw, I think i'm gonna buy some gold five spoke wheels in a few years, with the blue it would look sweet.

Actually, I just graduated with a degree in Math(focused on statistics though) and want a job involving SAS, or well any real job that requires a college degree.

just be sure to take your time when you're there and double-check the car, paperwork, etc. let us know how the drive home goes.

Noob question: Where is a thread about what I should check about the car when I pick it up? Beyond the obvious things like does it turn on, navi, radio, speakers, remote, etc..

Do a search on "checklist" ... that came up with a few good ones.

I picked up my car tonight. I finally got to drive it without parents or my acura sales person - which means I drove it for real now. The TSX is just plain awesome.

I am afraid, especially with the ABP color and a spoiler, that I am much more visible to the cops now ...not to mention it doesn't even seem like I am really speeding(well I am coming from a 130ish HP 1993 Accord). Damn being under 25, I can't afford to get my first speeding ticket.
