heh thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah today I went with my parents to test drive the two cars they are 'considering getting me' (i want the Tsx!). We test drove the Acura Tsx and the Toyota Camry (my dad loves it....). I fell in love with the Tsx the moment i saw it, then i saw the TL... Yeah so I'm tryin to convince my dad to get the Tsx for me instead of the Camry, but I need some figures on how the Tsx is better. Anyone have any links ??
Thx

Another fortunate kid....be respectful & thankful to 'em but don't let 'em drive your TSX

Yes, welcome.
Since "better" is incredibly subjective, maybe the best thing to tell your pa is the TSX (with a higher price) may have better resale value. It's pretty weak but it's all I've got right now.

Welcome noob.

I'd definitely mention safety ratings to your dad. Emphasize all the airbags and 4 and 5 star impact ratings. Parents want their kids to be safe.

There should probably not be many differences except for some early solving of 1st year gremlins. 2006 should mark minor changes.

Since there aren't major differences and the TSX '04 is still selling strong, I doubt the price drop will be significant. If dad's paying for it who cares?

Congratulations! TSX is way cooler than the Camry. Did you decide on a color? Check out some of the gallery pics to check the other members cars.

Well right now I'm really liking the Carbon Gray....and yeah many of you may have that but its an amazing color! I always wanted that dark pearly dolphin color, so that is most likely wat i will get. I like the blue also, but the interior doesnt come in the camel color, like the TL. Would quartz be a nice color on the carbon gray? My mom doesn't like the ebony leather b/c she thinks it will get to hot in the car, but does it matter that much since it is leather?? thx guys nice cars by the way, props to Accsuperstar, i think i will follow his mod list

Welcome to the board! I joined only recently, too.

The TSX is definitely cooler than the Camry. There're tons and tons of Camrys around, but very few TSXs. Why get something everyone else and their mother already has?

Good luck with convincing the parents on the TSX!

You're right. CG is an awesome color. Dammit we don't have it in Canada, cause I would have picked that color in a heartbeat.

I saw one around May 20th at Mt. Tremblant. It came from Vt. Awesome!

Glad to see your dad came to his senses. One-to-one comparison is NO comparison. TSX rocks.

You should point out that you can roll down the windows with the remote as you approach the car so it can cool down.

I just ordered my CG last weekend too! The TSX is the way to go! You should be able to get a good deal on an 04 model. I'm from MA and I paid $27000 (MSRP I believe was $29085) for a 6MT/NAV/Ebony interior.

Try doing an online search of the dealer's (the one you plan on going to) inventory and see what they have in stock and if they have the one you want. I think dealers are more agreeable when they can move their current inventory. Mention your friend in MA got one for $27,000 quote see if they can work that number. He may have gotten a good deal because he did it before the end of June which would be the end of the 1st QTR for most Japanese companies. (FYE = March 31)

Good Luck
