Just hit 90k miles...

And my car is officially 5 years old. (bought it 12/26/04)

You know, my car actually look and feels old to me now. I think past 70k miles, my car has lost it's sexiness. I am so very proud of my car though. I have most of maintenances by myself and it only had couple troubles on the way. I still think my tsx is good for another 50k miles AT LEAST.

And now, I want to make my car look sexy again. I'm planning to get some rims, new grille, and body kit to begin with.

I will keep you guys posted as I mod..

That's how I keep my car fresh. I mod slowly and not get everything at once. Even installing HID fogs get me excited to jump into my car at night.

Will be 5 years in April for me (and 113K miles so far and counting). I can't quite agree with the feelings expressed about the looks; I think the first generation of the first generation (04-05) looks the best to me. There are just a few little things that I prefer when comparing it to my 07. I love the car and have been amazed how it's kept my interest. I rarely keep anything even three years and I don't think I've ever put even 40K miles on a car before. There are so many things that are "just right" about the the TSX for the kind of driving that I do, that I can't bring myself to part with it just yet. Money's not an issue and I do realize that I should sell it before something major goes wrong and/or it's still worth something. So..... I just go along.

I'd like to be kind about a body kit, but I haven't seen one yet that doesn't look like it came out of a bad JC Whitney catalog. Exterior mods are supposed to make a car look better I thought (not just different), so I guess it's hard to improve upon the original. Maybe a grill (maybe.....) and the wheels, but I 'd be inclined to hold the line there. Just my

Happy birthday to your now 5 year old car-Almost took the plunge on a 2010 6MT TL but decided I still loved my problem free-no car payment 06 6MT tsx. It turned 3 years old on 11/17 and now has 96,000+miles.

I definately know what you mean. I want to keep the car look clean even after modding. Mugen or Euro R kit looks pretty damn good to me! And I was thinking about getting Mugen NR rims.

My 2004 will be 6 years old next month. I still love it and still think it looks great, although sometimes when I think about it, it does start to look just a little bit aged. Part of me really wants something new with more features (bluetooth, iPod hookup, maybe navi), but then I get a twinge of guilt and potential remorse about trading it in. The car has been nothing but good to me and still has a ton of life left in it. I haven't even had a lot of the issues that some on here complain about in the 04s; it's really been a solid car thus far. It's been a real joy to drive, and it's hard to give it up when I've loved the looks of it since I first saw it back in 03.

OP, do you have a 5AT?
The TSX wouldn't be half as interesting to me if it weren't for the 6MT.

OP
Congrats TSX is a great car. I only have 19,700 miles on 08 TSX. I leased the car in August of 2007. I am buying my lease out.
Thanks,
