Just got the TSX weighed....

I am moving, and the Navy pays me to haul some of my own crap with me. So, you go down to the scale (in my case, a moving company, they had a truck scale) and have your car weighed empty, and then weighed full. So obviously it's in your best interest to have the car as light as possible and then as heavy as possible, since you get paid per pound. My car had just come from an oil change, so all fluids were topped off, except gas, which was at 1/4 tank. The only other things in the car were some cd's, some change, a windshield sun shield, a digital camera, and a microfiber cloth (to clean the nav screen), plus all the owners manuals and registration crap the car came with. I didn't take out the jack or spare or any of that. SO, the part you are waiting for.........my TSX, a 5AT with Nav, weighed exactly 3,240lbs. This compares to the official figure from the website of 3,329. I bet the official figure includes a full tank of gas, as I probably could add about 12 gallons, times about 8lbs/gal, 96lbs....almost right on the money.

Do with this information whatever you would like.

Alright. Cool I guess.

The car weighs what Acura says it weights. Excellent.

LOL, actually they have most of my stuff. I am only moving what is irreplaceable, like pictures, stuff I needed/wanted at home, like my golf clubs and computer, and stuff that I didn't trust them with, like my tools. But the majority of my stuff, like furniture, cheap electronics, clothes, dishes...the Navy is moving all of that, but honestly, I just graduated college, the only nice things I have are the TSX and the stuff that will be in it. I hope they lose stuff like my old TV and stereo, since I am going to replace them in a few months anyway, nice to get some $$ for them
