Okay guys, I just got back from lunch. While I was driving I noticed a Mitsu Eclipse pacing me in the next lane. I'd switch lanes and the Eclipse would stay with me, I speed up... they speed up. There were 2 girls and a guy in the car by the way. Anyway... We're at a light and it turns green, Eclipse still pacing me but doesnt pass. Finally I got irritated and braked enough for them to pass. As they pass me on the right side I see one of the girls taking pictures of my car. I felt like I was running from the paparazzi or something! haha... just thought I'd share cause thats never happened to me before. Someone taking a picture of me or my car without my permission makes me feel a little violated. But on the other hand, this situation serves as helium for my head which, thanks to my TSX, has gotten quite big from all this attention.

 

I feel the same way that people look at my TSX wherever I go. One day, I was on freeway and noticed that not many cars in front of me but alll the lanes are full of cars at my back. Seems like they were all slowing down to look at my TSX. Feel weird but excited. Seems like I got the right car to get attention.. hahaha. Feel like I am driving a Fararri or Lambogini. my dream!

 

I bet the lowering had alot to do with that. The car just looks so much better without any wheel gap.

 

I had some stunna video tape me for a good 5 mins on the freeway when I was driving the Evo.

 

hahahaha i love the attention i get in the tsx at a stop light this asain family is next to me the all are pointing one snapped a photo so i waved and burned out for them. they were so happy

That's exactly what happened to me when I was driving my M6 on the street one time. But it was a '02 Celica instead.
It feels good, doesn't it.

 

Maybe they were like "Look at the dude with the giant head, take a picture of that."

 

Yeah, co-worker wanted to drive it back from lunch. I earned a few brownie points there.

I had to go to the St. Regis Hotel in the district last Saturday morning for a conference and I was running late, so I valeted (sp?) the car and the doorman could. not. stop. gawking at it. Being the proud new parent, I had to boast and brag. It made me even later for the meeting!

 

Better watch out cause they might be taking pics of your plate so they can jack your car.

Gawking the car has been normal for me. Im just try to be cautious. W/ the R and the Evo I had my share of stares and points.

 

fortunately my car is garaged. I sleep better at night!

I got the "oh shit! that's the TSX!" from a girl in the passenger seat of a dodge neon today.

So I guess maybe it's not me........ah, who cares?

 

I know how you all feel. . . I am from Miami and down here you see a lot of very cool cars. . . but I get so much attention on the road. . . I have also gotten the 16 year old kid in the hooked up civic trying to race me. . . but yeah this car is pretty impressive. . .

Hmmm....seems like nobody knows about the TSX in Buffalo....eventhough its the only one on campus...:-D

 

Today I ate luch ate panera Bread and sat by the window so I could watch my car. Sure enough, I caught some guy slowing down and then stopping, checking out my car, looking inside, etc. That was a cool feeling. I'm glad it was clean for him...

 

First night I had mine Aug 31 2003 a dude at a Shell station asks- "what kinda car is that?" My buddy who was checking out the ambient light as it was dark says its a TSX. He then says "It's beautiful." That made it all worth it-. Many gawks since then. The lines on this car are distinguished and people notice.

 

Yea aqr no one in buffalo knows what the tsx is about i get some points some comments but people dont know about it buffalo not a city with much knowledge

 

He wasn't admiring it. He was just checking to see if the keys were in it.

 

I agree with you. Ppl here only cares about BMW as a luxury brand. For them..."It's just an Acura Integra substitution"
duh........heard someone said "its an RSX 4 door"...wtf?....
even those mechanics around my place doesn;t know this car exist.....probably, there were not more than 1 in stock at the dealers around here, until recently.

Well, many opt for the Evo 7 or RX-8 here....saw many RX-8 around, not as cool as I thought...no HIDs on all of the ones I saw...don't know if they have it as an option.

Of strangers, I've just gotten 2 comments at gas stations (1 customer and 1 attendant). Edit: And I'd like to assume other drivers are keeping pace with me to gawk, and that people talking excitedly are talking about my TSX, but c'mon... that's like assuming every girl who glances at you wants to have your babies.

One of my bosses is looking at getting a 5-series, but wants to drive my TSX. There's a dealership a mile from where we live (we're geographically close), but I guess he doesn't want to bother. :p

Really, I don't expect many comments until someone sees the interior. The interior look, navigation system (big screen and relatively fast recalculation when I miss turns), and voice control get the wows. I still think the exterior is meh.
