How much to paint a TSX?

I’m looking to get a first gen TSX. I have a few options for a automatic and a couple for manual. The only thing is the manual is melano red and the paint is fading. Has anyone had their TSX repainted the same color or painted a whole new color? Is so what were the prices and were they from good quality shops or cheap paint jobs?

Pass on that one. If the paint is faded, chances are underneath is in just as bad condition.

A good paint job can cost thousands of dollars. I've seen what a reputable shop charges a for bumper/door/fender/hood resprays and touch up type jobs, and that alone is far from cheap. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing including a 50 cent clip.

Prices can vary but you basically get what you pay for. If you want a good one, be ready to pay ~$5000.

what do you mean underneath? You mean like rust? Paint fading on melano red is pretty common why would you say underneath is probably just as bad?? Especially if it’s been in California it’s whole life

Underneath as in the chassis. There are many other sun-baked areas of the country that have cars in much better condition; because the owners took time to regularly wash and wax them.

At least post the ads so we can get a better picture of what you're looking at.

A typical respray costs between $5-8K or more.
Including body prep, etc.
