With a camber kit, and especially with any drop, its worth the $$ to get it done. Eyeballing it won't work... and if you don't get it done, you might just have kissed a set of tires goodbye. An alignment is cheap insurance on the tires and handling, IMO.

Get it aligned. You might want to consider the Firestone Lifetime alignment package. The only drawback with it is that if your car is too low it might not fit on their rack.

its just the prokit drop; so 1.4 rear 1.2 front...

but yea getting it on the rack was what i was most worried about; beacuse i've got a long trip this weekend. I guess i'll be getting an alignment...

has anyone with this drop had trouble finding a place to do it?

Since you will be altering all 4 wheels suspension geometry do the 4 wheel alignment.

Get it aligned no matter how low you go..

.. I got an alignment for around $92.00 the first time I dropepd my car ... the other times I dropped it again, I got rejected due to the agressive drop... they told me to raise it up and consider putting camber kits on so my tire wear wont be so bad..till this day.. my camber kits are sitting at home collecting dust.. while I run on a rear -3.2 and -4.0 camber.. ... You shouldnt have a problem on getting up on the rack unless your drop is lower than my 3 1/2'' drop ..

Where's Mr. Heeltoe? He's more than informative when it comes to suspension. And yes, get an alignment after the drop.

There's ways of getting the car on the rack but its mainly that inital drive up the ramp and half way point that's a bitch, especially if cars have body kits. Often times they may even remove some of the lower valences and spoilers so that they don't scrape.

I think some of the newer Hunter alignment racks are built closer to the ground surface because of lowered cars these days. Good luck finding a shop though that has a newer one of these, as they only maybe present in aftermarket speciality shops

Guess I'm the first that didn't "need" an alignment. I'm putting quotes around the word need because of the fact that I still intended to get an alignment after installing my aspec just to find out everything was still within spec. This was after 2 weeks of letting the springs settle in.

The alignment will change after a drop. Do you need to take it in right after drop? I guess it depends on how the car drives and tracks. I didn't get the alignment done until a few weeks later after each suspension setup that I've tested. The car was tracking perfectly straight and I wanted to wait for it to settle a bit before taking it in.

Koni / Neuspeed Sports (F&R camber kit)
F =1.5 R =1.0

Koni / Eibach Sportline (F&R camber kit)
F = 1.9 R = 1.6

Tein Flex (R camber kit)
F = 1.9 R = 1.6

No, for most generic tire place racks I couldn't get up w/ a ~2.3in drop, my front lip would hit part of the ramp. I finally got it up using wood planks, but I dropped it more and said goodbye to the generic places.

I'd say the A-SPEC is probably the only one that wouldn't require an alignment

if you eye ball the camber kit install, you're probably going to be pretty far off and cause even more wear w/o an alignment. I'd suggest adjusting the camber kit to the size of the stock bar and let the shop adjust it to get camber right

i'm getting the prokits and the SPC camber kit installed by one place... and was going to take it to get he alignment the next day by a different place....

i was assuming that the camber would be adjusted by the place thats installing it.... if they dont know the specs to do so, should I have any information before hand to give to the camber kit installers? the camber kit isn't new, i purchased it from kaikai114 here on the forums.

I went there thinking it's a great deal. They jacked up the finish on my wheels when taking the lugnuts off. Also, they're quite unprofessional in their customer service.

A-Spec drop, no camber kit here.

I had an Acura dealer align mine after the A-Spec upgrade, and there wasn't much adjustment to be made. Some to front toe, but not much. Car drove the same before as after. I did it for peace of mind. Steering wheel was straighter though.
