How long did it take you to remove the ECU?

Planning to do reflash, the shop will do it for $80. How long did it take for you to remove the ECU? If it takes about an hour to remove and an hour to install, I might just let the shop do it.

ECU took about 20-30 minutes. Biggest issue for me was getting the plug out of the sockets.

80 bucks isn't too bad. Will your car be safe and sound at this shop while the ECU is out?

Yea, they have garage and it's parked indoors.

So if you took out the ECU yourself. Would they still let you park it there while your ECU is shipped?

If you don't have a garage at home or safe place to park it while the ECU is out, it might be worth the $80 then. If you go that route, make sure they will re-install everything at the end too.

That's what I'm wondering, if they would let me park it there if I took it out myself. I'm planning to get a dyno run before and after. I think I just might eat the cost, drop it off and pick it up and be done with it.
