How do y'all feel about painted engine parts?

Cheesy or cool?

I've been thinking about doing a couple pieces just to see if I like it. I did my old Eclipse in Red, and it looked nice. My main problem with mods these days is deciding what is too flashy. I want to do a little engine dress up, but I just don't know...

Do what YOU want and think looks good. That's what matters.

I am personally jsut thinking of painting the spark plug cover Honda red to get some color in there.

Not my cup of tea, Bondgrrl but if you do it, I'm certain it will look classy.

If you are the type of person that sits around parking lots with your hood up, then go nuts, but I tend to think that is reserved for unique custom engines, collectable cars, exotics and high performance engines, not a 200hp 4-banger. To each thier own though... I don't like people telling me what to do with my car, so do what you want, it's all yours!

i think it will look good depending on color/type...i've seen a carbon fiber with red trim engine dress up and it was really sweet...but it's really up to you, unless you show your car a lot, only you would get the satisfaction of knowing whats in there

LOL, that's just the thing with me. I don't know what I want half the time. I really don't sit in parking lots with my hood up anymore, but I may try it eventually anyway.

Yeah, I thought you mentioned in a post a while back that your were going to stop with the mods, and just today you mentioned you wanted the new grill, body kit, etc. etc.
