How comfortable are you guys in the TSX

So I was just wondering for those guys that have had the TSX for a while, how comfortable is it for bigger guys? My buddy is thinking about one and he is around 6'2" 265.

I know everybody is shaped different, but I was just wondering how comfortable some of the taller people are in the TSX.

Thanks in advance!

Best thing is for him to actually go sit in one, and then get an extended test drive (an hour at least) to see what he thinks and to play with positioning of the wheel and seat.
Given his size - like me he'll probably end up with the seat back as far as it'll go, and as low as it'll go (lower roof due to the sunroof), which (depending on seat recline) may mean there's little legroom behind him for any passengers.
Of course, that'll depend on how far he likes to (or finds preferable) sit off the steering wheel, and how much rake and extension there is on it.

So, in a nutshell - it's pointless to ask the question since you'll get 50 different replies from 50 different members. Experience it first hand is the only answer.

Oh, I had no idea they actually allowed that...

Thanks for the answer though PJS, may I ask how big you are and do you regret getting a 'smaller' car?

6'0 and 250 ish -
Yes and no.
Yes in respect of my driving style means I have to sit back from the wheel with full rake.
I tend to drop my hand down, which means I can catch my thigh if the position isn't right. So, if there was more rake, then I could afford to sit a bit closer and allow more legroom behind me.

No in respect that it's better than the Volvo S60 I was considering before changing tact.
I think (but don't quote me on it) that the Lexus IS200 (haven't bothered sitting in the new 250 yet) is maybe a better setup, but the throttle was extremely sensitive.
You barely had to touch it and the revs were at 3K.
That and consumption, etc killed it off for me - but that was nearly a year ago when I was driving a company diesel daily. Now having got the hang of petrol once again, I sometimes wonder if I should've went for the Lexus after all.

Cool, thanks! I'll make sure my friend requests to drive for a decent amount of time.

And eh, the new IS250 is probably around the same size as the TSX (interior) and the 250 is TOOO SLOOOOOOW. My sis has the 350, world of difference. Are you from the UK?

I am 6'1" and 220 lbs. I feel it's very comfortable, however, nobody with long legs can sit behind me because I have to put the seat all the way to the back.

I'm 6'3", and there are many cars I don't fit in at all without hitting my head on the roof (or having to recline the seat).

I fit in the TSX better than I do a Cadillac...

I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs. Same as visuelz, no one wants to sit behind me. Luckily, it is mostly my 2 year old daugther who sits there and my 5 year old son behind my 5'10" wife.

I regularly take out the car seats whenever i have to bring clients/colleagues in my car, and i end up having to move my seat up some. Since I drive a 6MT, it can make for some jerky shifts. I tried the Lexus IS250, and I found there was even less legroom for the backseats when I had a comfortable position.

I'm not that tall but having sat in the IS250/350 I felt my head was way too close to the roof and the window side felt inches away compared to the TSX. Having had some friends that were over 6'4", they always seemed to be making some sort of compromise in order to fit in almost anything. Seeing their struggles cured me of height envy at an early age. I would agree that the long test drive is the only sure way to come to an informed opinion.

6'0, 155 lbs.

Although I'm not a big person, it's a very comfortable ride for a decently tall person.

Funny pic though...

6'1" 210 lbs here and I've owned the car for 3.5 years. I've always been very comfortable in it, as has everyone who's ridden with me. The seats are very supportive and I've had no issues on longer trips.

i'm 6'4" 230 and I fit fine... still about an inch left from the seat going all the way back... but yeah not much legroom behind me.

It won't be the height that's his problem if anything - some people complain about the seats themselves being uncomfortable - I haven't found it that way, but a long test-drive should help him figure out if the seats are comfy or not to his liking

6'4" 190lbs. here, very comfy fit. Go for a test drive, ask to take a loaner home for a day and really try it out. Then you'll know if the fit is good.

Doesnt being short suck? I am also 5'9" maybe a bit taller but the sad part for me is I am only 135ish, however you are 19 and I am 18 so maybe if we are lucky we can grow another inch or two.

the rest of us can still hope to grow an inch or two, but typically around our waist...
