Horn sounds wimpy!

Does anyone know what horns sounds better and is interchangeable with the TSX? I was on the freeway the other day and some idiots swerves into my lane without signaling and I had to brake hard to avoid an accident. While holding onto my horn I thought, hmm, the horn sounds a little bit wimpy. I think the best horn sounds I've heard are from Mercedes. Will putting the horn in from the TL make it sound better? I know the japanese brands usually use something that is a little higher pitch.

Look for an aftermarket horn called the "Freeway Blaster". I had one on my motorcycle that I had to take off because it blew my ears out. No one is going to fail notice you with that thing.

The best sounding horns are the Ferraris btw. Like a lot of European cars, they have a toggle switch for city and highway. The highway setting adds a third note to the two city notes. The tri-note blast is very loud and somehow sounds luxurious.

For what little it is worth, it cracks me up every time I use Ferrari's horns when I play Need for Speed. The sound is hilarious.

You should get those old fashioned horns that go "ARUUUUUUUGA!"

"The tri-note blast is very loud and somehow sounds luxurious" HAHA that's great. I agree, Ferrari horns are hillarious, I remember the sound in the old Need For Speed games as well.

Coming from a 92 Accord and then a 98 Accord, my new TSX's horn is 300% better than the Accord, which SUCKED. I was delighted to hear the horn for the first time in my TSX, I think it wasn't till driving it home from the dealer than I said "oooh I wonder what the horn sounds like?" It's not a notourisly wimpy "honda horn"

Yeah, I don't miss the pathetic "meeep" of my old Civic at all. It just seemed to whine "please sir, would it be too much trouble to ask you to stop driving on my roof? No? Ok then, I'll try to ignore it".

The TSX has a nice "get the fuck out of my way! Dumbass!" feel to it. Maybe not quite a "move now or prepare for utter intestinal decimation from sheer sonic bombardment!" feel, but it gets the point across.

I was gonna say something similar. I love the TSX horn compared to my 05 Civic's, which I would rarely use unless absolutely necessary bc it was kind of an embarrassment. I use my TSX horn much more bc I actually think it sounds like a real warning unlike the wonk of the Civic's horn.

lol.

my brother-in-law has an 06 civic coupe. the thought of getting a new horn has crossed his mind several times. if i had a civic, i'd definately get something with a little more authority.

Tsx horn is better than my 2000 Accord. My accord is very high pitched.

What?! I think the horn is fairly aggressive and fits the car well. Much better than the "meep" horns you find in most smaller cars.

My dad has a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster that's in very good condition (he's put a lot of work into it). One of the things I love about it is its horn. When we're driving around in it he's always honking at people. "AAAUUUUGGGGAAAHHHH". It's great.
