holding screw on the rotor

holding screw on the rotor

i want to replace the front rotor on my tsx and so pick up 2 from Canadiantire, when i open the box i do not see 2 rotor holding screw holes. is this normal not to have holding screw hole on the after market rotor for tsx?

on my tl only the rear rotors had the holding screw. the front were different, im sure yours are similair if not the same.

Yes, it's normal. Those small screws are to hold the rotor in place, but they don't serve any performance issues. It's perfectly fine to have a rotor that doesn't have those screws holes.

Those little screws are a PITA, I've taken them off and threw them out whenever I put new rotors on my Hondas/Acuras, which has been what, 8 cars

They just help hold it in place.

Too many people strip them even with an impact tool they still managed to strip.

Hi All,

How does the Rotor holds to the Axle with out those screws ? I mean the lug nuts will be there but when you remove the wheel without these screws won't the Rotors come loose when we remove the wheels ??

The brake caliper will hold the rotor.
