i hooked up a kenwood 350 watt amp and a JL audio 10" sub in my 2007 acura tsx, it was sounding really good and i was getting it kinda loud but it wasnt distorting yet and all the sudden the head unit turned off it is a factory head unit non navi, it was just black and the climate control wasnt working either, i unhooked all the hookups to the amp and turned the car back on about a minute later the radio and everything turned back on, anyone have any idea what could have caused this because im kinda scared to hook my amp back up

 

whats the wattage on ur subs?

 

150rms, 400 max, it fits the amp perfectly

 

How did you get the signal to your amp? Did you use a signal to line adapter? Also how did you hook up the remote to you amp?

 

i used an LOC for the signal and the remote is hooked up through th acc in the fuse box

 

That is pretty much what I did. You could check to make sure the polarity of the subs are correct. You may just have to turn the gain down on your amp. I had a problem finding a 12v switched place in the fuse box for the remote. Had to hook up a switch to turn it off and on.
