HELP: Paring Phone Problem
I can't seem to pair my phone properly (Sony Ericsson W810)... The phone pairs fine but when I dial a number it only dials it on the phone and nothing comes through the speakers or mic, when I get a call it rings on the car but when I accept it you can only talk to the person on the phone.

Initiate HFL and tell it "PHONE - SETUP - STATUS." Will tell you if you're really paired. You can also hold the HFL BACK button for 5 seconds for a diagnostic.
Sounds like you're not really "paired." Try deleting the pairing (it's in the manual) and re-pair it. (crosses fingers)
I'm presuming that you've already looked up your phone at www.handsfreelink.com to see how it fared in their testing....

Sony Ericsson W810i Pairing Instructions:
IMPORTANT: You must press and release the HandsFreeLink talk button on the steering wheel and wait for the beep before you speak. This step is required before all spoken commands.
Power on the phone and ensure Bluetooth® is ON. Please refer to your phone's user guide for steps to turn on Bluetooth.
Press and release the Talk button on the steering wheel and wait for the "beep" before you speak. Repeat this step before all spoken commands.
Say "phone setup"
Say "pair"
Say any 4 digit PIN code for pairing. Remember it as you will need to enter it into your phone later. HandsFreeLink will now instruct you to begin the pairing process in the phone.
Enter the main menu
Select SETTINGS and press SELECT
Tab over to the CONNECTIVITY Tab
Select BLUETOOTH and press SELECT
Select "Turn On" to power bluetooth on, if not already on
Select MY DEVICES and press SELECT
Press ADD to begin a new search for pairable devices
Press OK at the pop up message
Once search is completed, select device to be paired with and press SELECT

Dunno what you mean, but you may've misunderstood SoCaliTrojan (I'm a USC veteran, too, BTW). "Transfer" command should (not always, with my phone) initiate using the HFL system with the phone. It ought to work if the phone is paired. Some phones will also offer a "transfer to headset" function if a BT device is linked. That one works better with my Nokia.
I'll have to try mine again, but when I do "phone - setup - status" ... I thought it said "is linked." Or something. But if that command string lists the phone, I think that indicates it's active and linked. You should also have a headset/handsfree icon on your phone's display.
Also: I hope I didn't forget to mention, if you have ANY other Bluetooth headsets, turn them off. Better, leave them out of the car. I had this trouble the first week of using my HFL.
More extreme measures: change phones. Or change your userid from "Ferrari," maybe your TSX is pissed at you.

i've had moderate success with my lg phone. picks up all calls but sometimes when dialing out using the phone, the hfl will "sometimes" pick up the call automatically. speaking the numbers is a bit hit and miss but that's not the phones fault.
my samsung sgh-a27 a much better pairing with the acura's hfl.
all calls (made on the phone) is picked up by the hfl automatically. very happy with it.
