Help! Beer spill in trunk!

A six pack of beer exploded in my trunk...this seriously sucks. I got one of those mobile detail dudes to come out and steam clean it, it did nothing. Does anyone know what I can do to clean it? Or can someone recommend a PROFESSIONAL (i.e. knows what the hell they are doing) in the Dallas area that can?

Try posting this in our Wash & Wax Forum. A number of professional detailers frequent that forum and can clue you in on what's best to do.

Shop Vac.

Once you have it all sucked up, empty contents of Shop Vac into frosty mug, and drink up! Otherwise, get a tattoo that says "Alcohol Abuser" and forever live in shame.

(You might want to clean out the Shop Vac first...)

cant you just shampoo it yourself and use a scrub brush? what's the issue here? it's just a carpet. not that difficult to clean. use resolve or oxy clean or some carpet solution, scrub it, and then go buy a friggin trunk tray. you'll be thankful!

lots of carpet cleaner and airing out. Had some leftover food go rotten in my trunk once and it spilled over, letting the juices out. Stunk like, well... rotten stuff. Got rid of it with lots of washing, airing out, and febreeze. Doesnt stink/smell anymore, and no stains either.

is there a stain or is it just a smell?

If its just a smell just use a wet vac > shampoo > wet vac > air dry in garage(or blow dryer) > use that white powder stuff for carpet to make it smell better> vac out. Should smell fine then. Repeat if needed.

You can also FEBREZE IT!!

I found a steam cleaner, steam cleaned it and febreezed the crap out of it...seems to have worked, but I don't know. The carpet isn't the issue, it's the cardboard like material underneath that I'm worried about.

Sorry, the last time I had to oversee a clean-up of that large a beer spill, I was screaming at pledges to do it. Probably not a good option for you. For shame, mis-treating your beer this way. . .

Once the cardboard is dry it should be okay, but probably stained. Good thing the carpet will cover it. Seriously though, I'd order a trunk tray. It's a great way to protect your trunk.

Hell no man, I once got a bunch of KA pledges to fix my fence that got tore up during a party. If wooden slats are too complicated for them, I wouldn't want them near my Acura LOL!
