By the dealership and now still won't start they say. Saying the engine is done compression is at 75ps and not 150 in the #1 of the cylinder. Saying I new a new engine. Car was 100% maintained by stealers burned a little oil like a half quart to quart between changes. So the other day it just dyed after I got home from work. I had it towed and the dealer said it was 4qrts low on oil!!! I just got an oil change in July was due in a 1,000 miles the check oil light. So no oil in the car it jumps time fixed the timing belt at the dealer still won't start half compression in #1 cylinder. So could it be the valves being bent? Honda does have interference engines and if it jumps time shouldn't that be a required part of doing a repair?

So Acura is saying the engine is shot. 5500 for a used 60 k motor on top of the 1500 for the timing belt that didn't fix anything!!!!

Any help or advice half to go there tomorrow !!

 

It has 166k on it but fully maintained by dealer. I guess I'm lucky it lasted this long .. Just paid it off like 5months ago. I bought it used with 66k all highway miles from a guy who had every record and had it serviced at same dealer. It just grips my azz!! Sorry all just frustrated and mad like maybe some of the signs might have been there. Little sluggish accelerating on highway like 55-65 mph.
Tell me there's hope?!?!

 

You can try contacting Honda customer relations but with the amount of mileage on the engine, I doubt you are going to get much. It's partially your fault as well for not checking the oil on a monthly basis. I know very few people that do this (and myself included) but should be done. I hope someday that all engines will have a oil guage that will show how much oil is in the engine similar to TPMS.
