Has anyone else noticed....

When you are behind the TSX and the turn signals are on, you can see the very end LED on the mirror. It looks very cool in the dark since it looks like it's out there floating by itself. Just saw that last night when I was follwing the wife while she was driving the TSX.

I noteced this once and thought that the TSX in front of me had blinkers on the outside of the side mirrors as well. I got really pissed off thinking that it was a midyear refresh thing I missed out on. Untill I checked that my car did the same thing

I just check that last month, so the side mirror signal has a very wide range of view, which is good if you happened to be in someone else's blindspot.

Too bad it's only "cool" for the other drivers...I can't really see my car's side mirror signal in action when I'm driving

That is the main purpose for the signal being in the mirror.

Unlike those big-ass ones of Ford trucks, this this informs other drives (front, side and almost straight back) without needlessly flashing at you and reducing the utility of your mirror.

I marveled at the engineering that went into this little piece - very thoughful.

Thank you Mercedes Benz, Daimler-Chrysler!

Acura managed to rip-off a great feature from MB cars that actually works very well for the styling and safety of the TSX. So why stop there? Why the ommission on the new TL? Doesn't make sense.

I know. If it was one thing to take from Mercedes, it was definitely those side indicators on the mirrors. The TL should have them as well. Hope the RL will have them, they're so cool.

at first I didn't like the blinkers on the mirrors. They've grown on me though, now I love 'em

TSX R US: nice looking wheels and great pics. Rwally shows how useful they are. Mercedes or not, I really like 'em.

I don't notice them from the driver's seat, but from the pics it looks like you can see them from behind..that's cool because when I test drove the 04 Passats, they have the mirror signal as well, but its mounted under the mirror and so blinks in your face and bugged the heck out of me.

What I noticed when driving at night is that the turn signal lights up the whole damn street! Road, cars, signs, they all blink orange when my signal is on. I should leave my blinkers on to extend the effective range of the headlights...
