Getting rid of the TSX

sup guys? I've been searching for a used G35 coupe, cause selling my TSX. After a couple weeks looking around I found an 04 G35 coupe has about 60600 miles on it. The seller 1na get rid of the car for $3200, everything looks good. The car is very well maintained, it has just been completely serviced. The owner told me they kept all the service records, when I look up the vin # on carfax.com it shown 21 records found for that car. That's all I can get from car-fax, in order to read the full reports I have to pay them. Have any here own the G? and how reliable is it? Thanks in advance.

reliability's ehhh. my neighbor owns a G35 and he hasn't had too much issues with it, but i know some other buddies who talk about the constant trips to the mechanics w/the G.

nissan/infiniti have had some problems in recent years, based on what i had read up over at the infiniti forums back when i was searching for a car. I was in the process of choosing between an acura, infiniti, lexus, and a bmw 3 series but i crossed infiniti off my list because of the issues that had apparantly been rampant in the G.

i'd definitely do my HW on that specific car though. i know from my own experiences that a seller would sell a car for real cheap because there's an expensive repair that needs to be made. i got rid of my old truck real cheap because i knew it required a $2k repair.

$3200 is way too low for a 2004 G35, even with 60,600 miles. G35s, especially the coupe, hold their value very well. I'd expect the car to still command a healthy $14,000+ assuming it is in decent mechanical and cosmetic shape, has a clean title, and no frame damage.

$3,200 for a '04 G35 w/ 60K miles sounds way too low. Is this a 1-owner car? The owner may claim no accidents (none by him), but likely it's had mechanical issues. Carfax has a record of 21 occurrences; may be worth the money to get the full report.
I would agree with prior poster...about $14K+ for a clean used G35 coupe.

Have to agree with the other guys. $3,200 is way too low.

For reference, I just sold a 1992 Eclipse with 72,000 miles for $3,000!

He could get a lot more from any dealer in five minutes...unless there's something wrong with it.

The price is too low and too good to be true for a 04 G Coupe. A 04 G Coupe can go over 10K easy especially when it has 60K Miles only. I believe this car has problems, so I would recommend not to get it no matter what the owner says. The price speaks for itself. Besides, why bother getting a G35 Coupe? Way too common. Its an overrated car. People buy the G35 Coupe for all the wrong reasons. Top reason being is fast, and no one really looks at anything else. Believe me, I considered the G35 sedan (2008) because it was fast, but I looked into the car. I ended crossing it off the list, because I found out and test drove the Gs. There transmission are sloppy and whack. <---(All G) Also the the new G sedans are way too expensive, and you can get a car that is better in every way except for the power for cheaper. If you don't want an Acura TSX. I recommend you look at Audi A4, C300, and BMW 335i (Pricey). I don't know why people complain about the Acura TSX's power. It isn't really that slow. Has it came across anyone that 205HP from a 2.4L is really good? TSX gives enough power. I would like the TSX more if it had the RDX engine. ^_^

I love my TSX, never had any problem with it (knock on wood) and never complain about the power either. The only reason i'm getting rid of it cause my little sis. need a car. If the deal on the G's too good to be true, I guess I'll keep my TSX til it can't run no more.

It's a scam. The guy is going to want you to pay him by PayPal or something like

The transaction will be made through GOOGLE CHECKOUT for the safety of both of us,through bank to bank transfer so we can be sure of the legitimacy of our deal.I'm a serious seller and a fair trader and I prefer to deal only with a serious buyer..Anyway, I have to let you know that I want a fast deal because I need the money asap and that is also the reason why I am selling it at a lower price... so if you are really interested in buying it, please reply.

the seller is a woman, am not gonna pay via paypal or any others electronic way. If I'm gonna get this car, i'll meet up with the seller and pay her in person. Of course, gotta bring at least two or three people alone with me just in case; you know .

Did you check again to see if the listing is still available on craigslist? Chances are it probably got flagged. Keep us updated on what's going on, I'd love to see you come out with a good deal if it's true.

I'll bet you that the car is somewhere else and it will be shipped to you free of charge.

That price is way too low. I was looking at used g35s a couple of months ago. In that year and millage they were around 15,000 to 18,000. Shoot my insurance company gave me 6,000 for my 95 Integra. This has to be a scam.

Those 21 records could mean anything from 21 maintenance and registration records, to 21 accidents, for all we know.

I would definitely invest in the CarFax, if for nothing more than curiosity as to why someone with an '04 G35 coupe in (seemingly) clean condition would ask only $3200 for the thing.
Heck, I could get $4000 for the 99 Civic I just handed my brother, and his is a Value Package with manual windows, manual mirrors, and 150,000 miles on the clock!

we just traded in our 05 hyundai elantra GT 5MT with 101,000 miles. It had been in an accident but was repaired. They gave us $3,500 for it.

If you are seriously interested in a used car, always get the full Carfax report, as well as an Auto Check report, and have the car checked out by a dealership or mechanic. You can't be too careful.

But I'm with everyone else....this one seems too good to be true.

At this point I want to hear what unfolds as the original poster continues with the process of buying it. I want to find out where the deal goes wrong (if it goes wrong) and if it doesn't, why on earth the original seller is letting it go for $3200. (or is it a typo and they meant $32,000? in which case the car is overpriced...)

I'm sure it's a scam. here, from http://www.fraudguides.com/craigslist-car-scams.asp :

Craigslist Car scams

Cars are priced far below current market value.
The seller claims to be in the military and is stationed overseas.
The posting does not include a phone number.
The seller will demand that you use an online escrow service of their choice.
The person receiving the call is referred to as a "pickup agent."
Payment must be wired to or from another country. Western Union is often requested.
The buyer or seller is very anxious to conclude the transaction.
