Gas cap clip on fuel door for filling?

Is the TSX sappose to have a clip on the inside of the fuel door to hold the gas cap during refueling?

My Accord has one to hold the cap, but our TSX only has a cheap cord to hold the cap.....is a clip missing from the inside of the fuel door?

If so I may have to retrofit one from the Accord part bin, it was a nice feature.

I don't like the cap just hanging down the side of the car.

If you check out your manual, you will find that there is an extra stringy doohicky that has a ball on it, and on the door, there is a spot to stick that, so that you dont mess up your paint job.

Ah, don't feel too bad...it took me a year before someone pointed out the holder on my CR-V. Before that, I always put the cap on the roof....

I wish they'd stayed with the old style cap holder.

too. Don't know how long it will take before I, or my wife, accidentally yank on the gas cap while its hanging in the notch and break the little do hickey.

I Was Confused 2

I read that there was a holder in the manual but the 1st time I went to fill my tank, I kept trying to slide the cap onto the fuel tank cover in the same way my previous Accord did. I tried for several minutes & the whole time I thought that ball on a thin piece of plastic was just decor .... finally I realized that lil thing was what attached to the cover. Countdown until I break that cheap thing: 5, 4, 3 ...

My old 99 Si had the "slide into the door" thing, but I kept knocking it off with the gas handle, so eventually started placing it upside down on the lip of the rear window.

Am I a bad person!?
