Sounds right to me. The Dealer needs to make money afterall.

You may be better off looking for a used or demo Navi 6MT.

You mean to trade in your car for an 06 navi, or to install navi onto your existing non-navi 06?

assuming navi switch is like 2000, it'll be approx 4k for the trade.

Yeah...you're gonna get raped to trade in such a new car. I thought about trading my '04 for an '06, but it's gonna cost me so I don't want to do it.

Once a new car is registered then it become an used car = at least loss 15% of the value + all those pdi, feight...etc vapourized.

Do a private sale. You'll still lose money, but maybe only $2K. Then the difference would be $4K instead of $6K. Still, *yikes.*

You'd be better off to drive the car for a couple of years and then go to a 2008 TSX. You can be the poster-boy for people who should have bought navi but didn't and wished they did.

In general, this is a bad idea, but if you're going to do it, do a private sale. Another big factor here is how much you owe on your current vehicle.

lol i'll be the poster boy to everyon that didn't go navi or MT...lol

I mean, if i hit a 2k loss, thats not too bad. But i think 4k loss is absurd. I think I may be able to get a TSX around the NY/NJ area Navi MT for about 28500 including desinateion and stuff...so many im looking at 31k OTD? if thats so, I'm gonna need to sell my TSX for 27,000. Is that reasonable?

I paid $1100 to fix my mistake. 04 AT to 04 MT with the same mileage.

You'll never get 27K for a used TSX.

mine is 06 with 3k miles btw?

I dunno about going for a MT used, sounds like abuse and mis shifts can be a problem.

Even if it was affoardable, something tells me you'd just be tired/bored with the 6MT Navi TSX within a year of getting it anyhow.

Like I said, try and find a slightly used or demo 06. You'll go from 6k to maybe 3. As for abuse, the risk is always there. I accepted the risk but felt the MT was worth it. But its a TSX not an RSX or Evo, most people I don't think abuse or kick the shit out of TSX's. And if they did, its a Honda.

No regrets as far as driving goes but the car does have a small vibration at idle that I've yet to get fixed. No regrets regarding not waiting for the 08 TSX either. Life's too short to wait for what you want and this was a good financial sacrifice for me at this time. Plan is to keep this car until at least 2010. I'll be bored of it by then I'm sure. By then the new TSX should have had time to sort out the bugs and hopefully gone through a MMC like the 06.

I love how y'all call the AT a mistake...it's cute, like we're on a honda civic board or something

The car itself is not a mistake but purchasing an AT when you should have bought an MT is. I don't see your point.

The reason I said you'd lose 4K is because going from non-nav to nav is an automatic 2K increase in price to you. The other 2K would be depreciation on your car. But once you figure in taxes and registration etc., you'll be higher than that for sure. I wish you the best. I still think you should ride it out a couple of years rather than trying to trade an '06 for an '06.

yeah, i think im definately gonna just wait it out.. maybe just get the tsx model change when that time comes around...Im sure they'll have rearviews and adaptives and stuff which should be fun.

In hopeful lights, my parents are in the market for a sedan cause they currently drive a minivan around to work... If all goes well, maybe a mt navi tsx might make its way into the family, with a non navi at as its older brother...lol

I think patience and perseverance are definitely your best course of action. In the meantime, you still have an awesome car.

why not "sell" your non navi to your parents and get a new one yourself?

thats sorta the idea. only it'll be done as a gift so we don't have to go through sales tax.

But theres 2 problems with that.

2 black tsx's or even 2 tsx's in one family is kinda wierd (despite that i only park there like 3 monhts outta the year)

and

I dunno if they'd even want to drive a tsx aroud for a daily driver, they probably go for something more economical as they put around 20-25k miles on it every year.

^^ so what, my neighbourhood really has 2 TSX parked on the drive way everyday and I always give them a and 20-24k/ year on a TSX = 20-24k of fun per year, so why not.
