Is a three seater? I always thought it was a 1 seater with a seat directly in the middle of the cabin.

the miata breaks any defination of a sports car that uses horsepower as a measurement. those things don't have fast motors, but they're light and nimble, which is the defination I'd go for a sports car, which goes hand in hand w/ having 2 doors. I'd say the ITR, CTR are sports cars. I just don't see the Sentra Spec V however.
i think horsepower (and thus price) comes into play when you talk about an exotic.

TO ME, and i emphasize on "me"; a sports car should pump you up with adrenaline everytime you take the car to its limits (or atleast try). the car's handeling abilities and its shear power should scare your pants off. or if you happen to be a race car driver, keep you excited (on your heal/toes). it should be a battle between the driver and the car. the cars power wanting to go out of control and you, the driver, trying to tame it. the more you push the more it demands.
trust me, when i was 16 and i got my 180 hp fwd celica gts, i thought i was a proud owner of a sports car. boy was i wrong...
after riding shotgun (many times) in a 600+ hp supra with full suspension upgrades, sticky tires, and stripped interior, i started to realize that my measly 180 hp vehicle was not a sports car. i was still in denial, however.
after driving my dad's friend's 911 turbo for about 2 1/2 hours, it made me realize that my celica was not a sports car.
now, i know and i accept the fact that my car or any other car in my car's segment is not a sports car. sure, somebody could swap out my 2zz and dump a 2jz, strip the interior, upgrade the tires, and upgrade all the suspension components to some high end racing suspensions and i will probably shit my pants off, but i was talking about stock form.
i'm not trying to convert anybody here and i'm not trying to say that i'm right and your wrong.

I'd call the cars your talking about supercars or exotics (not the supra, cause thats modded), but they are not the only sports cars around to me.
