Front End

Man....I got in a fender-bender this morning and mangled my front end a bit. Nothing too major, but it's going to have to be replaced. I'm thinking I might as well hook up something custom since I already have to get a new one. Any suggestions on what to get and where to get it?

Just for reference, a new OEM bumper w/ paiting is ~ $700

Phase bumper is ~$1200 no painting plus shipping? check out ajr racing

Mugen is ~$1280 no painting plus shipping. check out kingmotorsports.com

But, one good option IMO is the

Modulo Voltage bumper, includes a set of foglights for $1022 plus shipping and it comes painted. That's a deal if you like it, its made to be combined with the Euro-R side skirts and rear under spoiler.

link

I had to have my bumper replaced, and I kinda wish I went w/ the Voltage kit. BTW it has the Honda grill built in, so you'll be driving w/ a big H.

Ouch. I did that once......Not fun.

Edit: on the plus side, it did more to improve my driving than any amoung of driving instruction could.

Can you install it without the side skirts and rear spoiler or will the front look lower than the rest of the car? I'm not really looking to put a full body kit on.

I found the Modulo Voltage, but in the course of looking for that I also found the Modulo Urban, which I think I like a little better. Anyone know where I can find that? Also, my question from above still stands? Can I use the front bumper without the rest of the kit or will it look funny?

Here is a pic of my car (pre-accident). It looks like the oem front end hangs pretty low and I have the front and rear mud guards. Anyone have an opinion as to how my car would look with Modulo Voltage front end but without the rest of the body kit?

the grill built into that bumper has an indent for the H like the Euro-R grill. It would take some customizing to get an A onto it

So, you couldn't just pull the whole grill and replace it with the Acura unit? Isn't that whole assembly a separate piece?

I see you are from Vienna. Do you recommend anyone in the N. VA area to do this kind of work?

Pulling out the grill equates to cutting it out I believe. And then you'd have to do some molding to get the OEM grill back in. I've never seen this bumper, but my thoughts are that its all 1 piece.

Never done custom body work at NOVA, I've been a school since I got my car at VT
