Fog Light Question

hey guys i have a 2007 tsx which already has the fog lights.

im a bit confused on some part could someone please clarify for me this question.

people are doing the HID conversions with a kit or something. i just want to change mine to HID as well which i believe are the H11 bulbs. can i just simple change the bulbs on my fog lights or do i have to do all this rewiring and stuff.

btw i read on that you can get the h9 bulb which is 2100 lumens (brighter) than the h11 (1350 lumens) and just cut a piece of plastic off the h9 and put it into the slot.

main question: can i simply change the bulbs on my 07 tsx to better H11 bulbs or do i have to do rewiring and put in an HID kit?

thanks a lot guys im confused. but i believe that the HID kit is for the TSX's that don't already have the fog lights stock.

Yes. it is H11 bulb.

HID bulb H11 will directly go into stock halogen H11 configuration, but there will be no light.. lol

It's not jus simply changing bulb, because halogen and HID systems are totally different.

HID, which you have on your headlights( low beam) is consisted of Bulb, Ballast, Ignitor.

here is a sample of HID kit. as you see, it's not just bulb.

I've personally done the HID conversion on my 06.
i had to remove my bumper, drill holes on the car body to place my ballast (which is the square thing in the website picture), and then bulb will directly go on the stock H11 assembly.

blehhh i thought we could just change the bulbs

i was going to buy these off ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EUROD...spagenameZWDVW

then just off that plastic part so it will fit into the h11 slot. but i guess since these are HIDS and if i put them in it won't light up?

hmm the HID conversion looks complicated to me =/. i wonder if theres anyone in my area that could possibly help me out with this

Why do some feel they have to spend considerable time and money on an item that is of questionable value for pretty much anything other than annoying oncoming drivers? Why don't you leave well enough alone and if you really feel the need to spend money on an already exceptional automobile, how about something that will actually increase performance?

Your eBay bulbs will work just as they are. Despite what the seller would like you to believe these bulbs are not HID. In fact the ad says"They give you the closest look to HID headlights".

My issue with this is getting the EXACT kelvin as the headlights. I would hate to spend the $$ on a set and have a different hue of what is already on the car.

Please don't try to even say that to anyone who has HID fog kit here in the forum.
I've tested enough, and it won't affect your daily driving so don't even question me about my spending on the vehicle.
and i also have a module that will only turn on fog lights while my headlight is off. when i have my fog lights on, the light points down to the ground, and won't blind anyone the the oppsite traffic. plus, each HID bulb is cover by stock fog bulb cover
cap, so there is no way it will hurt your eyes.
I've had Hoen Xenonmatch in the past, was satisfied with it, but still didn't like it's yellowish light from closer look.
fog light module and my HID look much better than your OEM fogs, so don't worry about it
My TSX is not a racer. i don't race it. it's for cruizing, travelling.

those ebay ones are the cheap stuff, one of those halogen bulbs that are called "Xenon 8500K, 6000K" they are all bs. if you want to go cheap, go with Hoen Xenonmatch. many members here have them, as halogen bulbs, it gives the closest color to our stock HID.
