First Wash

My Girlfriend just bought a new Accord sedan. The dealer mentioned that she should not wash her car right away. But from the crazy bugs this summer and usual dust and such, she's ready to wash.

How long is ok to wait before the first wash.

that dealer is a dumbass. The only time you shouldn't paint a car is right after its been repainted even then thats not tottaly true. The factory paint is cured and ready to wash before it even gets near the dealership. Next time you see the dealer kick him in the nuts

I washed and waxed my car a week after I got it. Would have done it the same weekend I got it if I wasnt' driving around enjoying the car so much.

Was the car clean when you took delivery of it? Wouldn't it make sense to have cleaned the car for you. They're dusty when they come off of the truck.
