So why didn't you get the right tranny to begin with?

Oh well, it could've been worse.
At first, I thought you were gonna say the Civic walked ya

Darn! I had my hopes up too... Well, I hope they can work something out with the EMS.

I feel thee samee exact wayy. One day I was driving down the road where the speed limit was 45, and this nice bmw X5 4.6 was going around 40mph. I was thinking, why didnt he just get the 3.0 instead, if hes not gonna use the power that the car comes with..

dom, you and I seem to be in the same place. I've been kicking myself almost since the day I drove my 5AT off the lot last March that I bought an automatic. I've never owned an automatic! I keep wishing for more power, or at least the ability to row through the gears on a manual tranny.

$5-6K CDN for a supercharger is waaaay too much for the bit of power it will provide. Here's hoping I too can hold out another 3-4 years and see what Honda brings to the plate, because moving over to a 6MT now is just way too much of a hit to my pocketbook.

That reminds me of a quote. A race car driver once said, "It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow." The guy personally drove a Kia but took highway ramps in the 90s.

Reality check always hurts! TSX, imo, are more of point A-B car. There is not point trying to out run Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Let face it, stock TSX can even out run most swap Honda's.

I did the exact opposite. I have only owned AT until now when I got my TSX. I am just loving MT. I dislike driving AT cars now.....I seem to get........bored?

I was on my way to work this morning in the left lane of a two lane road. There was a fairly slow moving Civic coupe in front of me. Traffic was pretty heavy so there no way around it.

Finally, after a few minutes the Civic gets a chance to jump over to the right lane and does so. Now I had a few minutes back noticed a Cayenne directly behind me. As the Civic moves over I gun it. We both pass the Civic. As I'm pratically flooring it I see the Cayenne change lanes in the corner of my eye, still flooring it I'm helpless as I see "Cayenne Turbo" shoot past.

Its as if I had hit a brick wall. Its as if I wasn't even moving. This thing shot by so fast I almost couldn't believe what I had saw.

I felt about 3 inches tall and almost wanted to pull over and start walking.

I know not many cars stand a chance against 450HP and 457lb-ft but I have to believe I would have had a fighting chance in something more powerful.

But thinking back this really is the first time I felt inadequate in my TSX. Thats not to say its ever felt fast, but I was never humiliated like I was this morning.

if it's any consolation, the cayenne is but ugly, and the guy probably had a small penis.

Well OPO (old people opinions) aside, I would much prefer someone taking the onramp at 90 than 40 which is much more common around here. Take that you wrinkled fiber lovers!

LOL - Trust me OPO's enjoy taking onramps at 90 just as much. Experience has taught them to be more selective when they do it, but the thrill is just the same, it never dies.

Oh oh, I think that the fibre is kicking in. Got to go.

Maybe you got passed by a buddy of mine in Woodbridge. His is black and he modded the hell out of it. He's got a turbo on each bank. He regularly races M3's and beats them. He blew the tranny out twice before the mod and has a different tranny in it now.
He's more scared the truck will explode (the original Porse SUV's had some fire issues!) when he floores it than with his safety! He's getting rid of it too soon....his daddy has lots of cash!!!!!

So those ebay exhaust tips and $20 resistor really do add power.
