Finding somethine new everyday about the TSX

http://www.schalliol.com/property/ca...s/DSCF0659.jpg

I found this little thing under the arm rest from schalliol's site ... I never knew that was even there. He's using it as a pen holder and for business cards. But does anyone know the real purpose of that?

Seriously though, I didn't know it was there...good to know. Of course, I've been away from my TSX from the day after I bought it, and won't be able to see it again until middle of August. My wife tells me that it's still okay, but I miss it!

I think the term "cards" includes business (as shown) and credit.

Well I'll be. I never knew that existed. What a great place to put a pen rather than having it roll around in the glove box and having to reach waaaay over to the glove box to get it. Way to go Acura.

Wow, I had no idea this existed either! Rep points for you LaxTSX!
I actually have some cards in the car right now, good to know there's a special place for it.
What's next, a hidden switch that makes the machine guns come out ala Bond's Vanquish? (Perhaps a mod idea for you, jlukja?)

Thought about that once. I was looking under the car when it was on the lifts for an oil change.

There's probably enough room for an Uzi-sized weapon and possibly a belt feeding system.

If you take out the piece for the fog lights, you could install a flip out section and have a slide-out for the muzzle.

Not that I've put any major thought into it. Nope, no major thinking about it. Nope.

I suppose an UZI would work, but I'd get an old M3A1 (A Valkyrie Arms OSS one would be especially good given the integrated silencer) - it'd be much easier to implement into the car's underbody and especially the fog light opening. The firing mechanism could be activated by a compact wireless button/tranciever that could be mounted anywhere, most likely on the steering wheel that engages a gear to activate the triggers on both SMGs via a simple pulley system. Seriously - if you give me all the parts I could have this mod done in a weekend's time. Getting the OSS without a Class III liscence would be the hard part though

Hmmmmm. Better to have a belt feed - more ammo.

Though if you could convert the OSS to a belt feed, it would be wicked. And I agree, having a silencer would be awesome.

One more thing to add would be a tilt feature - great for shooting the tires out at any range.

Yes, as hard as it is for me to say, I'd trade in my TSX for that. Those extra, Q supplied, features would make the commute more fun.

Now, back on topic, have you guys seen this thead: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=939 ? Some other cool features that others have discovered.

It's for tissues believe it or not. Car washes and auto parts stores sell specially boxed tissues to fir there.

I keep my E-Z pass and phone cahrger in there.

How about full auto paintball guns? Think about it, some ass cuts you off and you splatter the back of their car!

Billiam - Who's waiting for the day we finally get Nerf Artillery.

I like that, only problem is the compressed air and the ammo. The paintballs are pretty bulky compared to a round, and you can't feed them as well as you can a belt. On the other hand, it's a lot more legal and easier to find.

And forget Nerf artillery - paintball artillery. Have it mounted in your trunk, flip out section, and pivoting turret. Then you can aim and launch at people who cut you off, people who tailgate you, and people who just piss you off.

There was the Order of the Green Ring. Maybe you belong to that oh so exclusive Order of the No Pen & Card Holder?

Here's one: auto and 6-speed owners need to list what their thoughts are on this feature.

Is yours 6sp? Maybe it's only automatics?

I checked the next time I got into the car after reading this thread and saw it for the first time :o
It's under the first level of the armrest (shallow one). There's a loop under the lid of the second level which I guess is to hold the cord of a cell-phone since it also has a little hole for it to come out of in the front.

My TSX was built in April '04. Maybe certain production runs didn't have the card/pen holder. It would have been nice if they included a fancy Acura pen in there to go along with the one in the user's guide binder.

That 2nd level loop holds another pen (of the right diameter) in my car.

Hehe sweet! I never knew that was there either. All this time I've been leaving my pen in the center console.
