Programming can cost anywhere between free (yes, some people have had success with the dealers to program is for free) up to 90 (dealer).
Usually a local locksmith with the right tool to program a type V chip will do it for 40-50 bucks.

i guess the other thread started here about a possible group buy started by the TL forum was removed since there was never a clear answer about fitment.
hoping this one will eventually pan out.

I want one for my 04

me too, but id want to confirm that it worked for other 04 TSX owners...
i wonder if the programming would still allow for the rolling down of the windows while holding the unlock key on the remote?

Oliver!!!
Should work fine for 04. You just have to unlink the memory seating function, otherwise the keyless entry won't work. Not sure about the window thing though.
And, I've been in touch with a few of the local locksmiths (here in Central Florida,) but so far no dice. Can't find anybody that'll mill the blanks.

the TL key is a laser key.
it has not been milled.
so the blank needs to be milled to the shape of a normal key
before it can be cut. which is the problem and why they're so
hard to get.
I got one from flbUSA before he stopped selling them.
to answer some other questions:
it fits the glove box, gas cap lock thing, and back seat locks perfectly.
the key fob buttons are programmed perfectly, yes you can still
roll the windows down with it and up too if you have the module.
everything works flawlessly as long as it's cut from the backstop, not the tip.
getting it programmed is hard. not all key cutters and such have
proper programming.
oh, and I have an '08 and it works perfect with the memory seats too.

Oliver!!!
^He's doing a group buy for TL owners. He says in the first post that he's not doing anything for TSX owners. He's going to try one and verify fit and function, but he's not doing them right now.
