Fake JDM Grill on Ebay (don't fall for it!)

Plus it doesn't help the guy is a total jack ass.

I already confronted him about it, but he just dared me to report him, so I did. I also notified all the current bidders.

wow, this guy even had the balls to call you out on his auction

"On Jun-29-05 at 07:22:49 PDT, seller added the following information:

Due to a user that doubt's the authenticity of this grill, also has empty threats to report me, and has no knowledge of genuine honda parts from Japan, anyone needing more proof, ie: pictures, part #'s are more than welcome to ask, as for the user in question, don't waste my time!!!! "

what an @sshole!

http://www.boomplustoys.net/jdm_accord.shtml

the grill here is what everyone is claiming as the REAL JDM girll...however i have seen pictures of JDM Accords with the ebay grill. The grill everyone gets is the Euro R grill because its the top of the line accord and frankly who wants to make their car look like a lesser accord

I think there is some misunderstanding here. The CL7 is not only the Euro-R, there was a non-Euro-R CL7 accord as well which this might come off of. Otherwise it might be from a CL9 and the auctioner is just mistaken. I don't think he's intentionally lying to people.

I think loxllxol just figured the Euro R grill is the only JDM grill and he thought this guy just took a tsx grill and slapped on a honda "H". I would have done the same thing a few weeks ago before I saw a picture of the standard accords.

I swear somebody on this forum got that grill. I seen it for sure on a TSX here before. I doubt its fake but it's diffently not the Euro R grille.

The fitment looks perfect. Is it for the CL-9 Specifically?

So Euro-R grille has honeycombe while JDM Accord and TSX have the single horizontal "bar" across. Correct?

Before you appoint yourself to the Ebay police, you really should make sure your facts are straight.

Cut the guy some slack. It was good intention to alert other people of a potential scam. The right thing to do at this point is to contact the seller and acknowlege the misunderstanding, as the statement might have affected his sale.

I think that would be the least he could do.

Even the best intentions can go bad, no harm done (except to the seller )

It's the grill on the Australian CL9. It's not CL7... And JDM Accords have the mesh instead of the horizontal dividers. It's not fake, but it's not what it is being advertised as.

All three pics taken from the Honda of Japan website. Looks the same as the grill on Ebay to me.

Actually it looks to me the grille in this picture above is yet slightly different than the other two (and the other "H" grille pix posted). Notice that there is one "bar" across the top portion of the "H" and another "bar" across the bottom portion. In the other ones, there are three bars with one more prominent one through the middle of the "H".

Looks like there are just quite many variation of the "H" grill from Honda for the CL7/CL9 in various markets

That grill is different because its part of the Modulo bumper, its not a seperate grill like the TSX/CL7/CL9 usually have. The other 2 pictures are the grill in the ebay auction.
