Congrats, Excited!

It's like the perfect time to pick up your car too, since I think they're forecasting very warm weather for the next few days!

That's a really great colour!

That is my real license plate. I ordered it several months ago and have it in my possession for a while. It is nothing too clever, but I like it.

The cold has kept the roads dry, although a bit dusty from the sand. It has helped me to keep it clean at least for the first two days.

I came across another white TSX this afternoon and gave him the thumbs up.

A woman in a black SUV almost hit me today as well and I gave her a different finger.

Some other impressions and photos:

I said it before, but this car is sneaky fast. Like a cat. All of sudden you look down and you are going a lot faster than you think.

The car is very precise. It is a finely honed instrument of power and agility. (Ok I'm getting carried away, but I am excited afterall.)

I had a lot easier time with the phone book today. It helps when you follow the instructions correctly. I have about 30 numbers in my phone book.

I got my nano working and I have started to play with the navi. Lots to learn yet.

The sun here in Edmonton this time of year does not get too high. In the summer it stays light for a very long time, in the winter around December the sun does not get much higher than the 10:00 o'clock position. Here are some more pics. You will notice that it gets bluer. I included one picture that you can see the clear bra line, but trust me you never notice it. (I am also still really liking the wheels. Not bad for $125 Cdn/wheel)

The dealer installed it for me. I believe that it was called Stongard but it is the same 3M product as most of the other clear bras.

You really don't notice it.

Well if you are ever down in Southern California, we can go for a spin and see which *color* is fastest!
I might make it to California twice in 06 in my TSX. If my wife is in the car with me, my colour will definitely be the slowest.

Final impressions from the first day:

It is very quick and nimble.

Played with the navi and it is great. The real benefit from it will come when I go to places that I don't know.

My 81 year old Mom had no problem getting into it.

Still lots to learn, but I am learning it.

Bottom line is I can't wait to drive it again.

Hopefully the roads will stay dry overnight and I can get it to work looking clean so I can show it off. I have had pictures of it hanging on my office wall for months.

Today I have just been trying to take pictures to capture the different colours that RBP can be. I didn't get them all. In the future I will try and post photographs with great lighting, backgrounds or unusual angles.

I'm really getting a sense of navy blue from the RBP, at least from the pics so far. Granted photos can be a bit deceiving. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Regardless, it looks great. A little less flash and a little more class than the ABP. I'm liking the new styling more and more.

It's more than navy blue. The photos aren't capturing what you see. Sometimes it is navy, sometimes it is almost black, sometimes it is definately blue and sometimes it is a rich sparkly blue.

I will make it my photographic mission to capture the true blue.

Congrats! on the RBP TSX Excited. I know how you feel about the car. I picked mine up on Wednesday night. Unfortunately we had some bad weather thursday and friday so I stuck with the SUV. I have been driving it all weekend and love it. Truly a great car.

You know whats strange, the OEM wheels look ok at the stock hight, but as soon as you put on aftermarkets, they just dont look right for some reason without some sort of drop.

Excited, are those the same tire size as the stockers?

CONGRATS EXCITED!!!! Long time coming and it looks super sexy. Now you need to drop it a lil'.... nice writeup too. I've been enjoying mine and like you said, that power just creeps up on ya plus it's always available.

Halfway through the break-in period righ tnow and it's still very hard to resist just giving 'er but the gas mileage sux big time which's why I'm taking it easy. Then again, i'm sure the cold weather and the new engine have something to do with that. I'm glad we got it in winter cuz come summer she'll be all broken in and ready to rip!

Anyway, 'nuff o' me and more of yours... super sweet ride man! Luv the TSX4EVR tag also. The lights are awesome. I'm actually thinking of upgrading those DRLs to the phillips vision+ ones as well as swapping out the fog ones if possible. Man it's such a sweet car.

Good choice on not going w/ the side skirts... it actually looks really nice as is and honestly the pics really don't do this car justice. Gotta see it in person. Like you, the stocks are all bagged up w/ some crappy steelies and Blizzaks for winter.

Now you've gotta go to the part of the forum where you sign in!

As a reference point for all your opinions on the way the car drives, which vehicle did you come from?

They are ever so slightly smaller: Tires Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 - P225/45R17

I signed in very early this morning to make it official.

This is where I show my ignorance. The DRL's are seperate from the HID's?

On my Escape I swapped the headlights for the Philips and I changed out my fogs and back up lights, but I will likely stand pat for a while.

Thanks for the congrats.

I have been driving a 2001 Ford Escape. (I believe that it was the first Escape in Western Canada) It is a great all around vehicle. O to 60 times were suppose to be 8.5 but I never did better than 10.1. It braked really well and cornered decently but you never would attack curves with it. It would tow my boat (now sold) and allowed me to do some limited off roading. My wife now drives it.

It sure was great in the snow and this will be my biggest adjustment. Our roads are basically clear right now, so I haven't put the winter tires or the TSX through the winter driving trials. (Actually it will be putting me through the trials as I have to adjust to the difference.)

I got the RBP/MT with a Navi. I love it. It is my first TSX and my first Acura and enjoyed running around in it all weekend. I'll have to see if I can take some pictures and load them up.

I'm in the same boat. Just under 600km more before I can really drive it. Being on an island, I don't get as much driving around as I'd like.

RBP is FABULOUS!

Excited, your RBP TSX is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I had this choice when I bought my 04 TSX! It has got to be one of the best colors available for the TSX, if not THE most beautiful color!

Thanks for the wonderful pics. Now I just need to see one on the street!

Today it showed me two more gorgeous shades although I did not have my camera with me. A lot of my friends and co-workers really liked the colour and the car.

My second impressions after having driven it to work and I ran a few errands after work is:

Power - lots of power. I love it.

The HID lights continue to amaze me.

AT is great and the SS works very well.

Played with the navi some more and the more I learn, the more I like it.

The ride is firm and the seats are a little on the firm side, but not too firm.

I have yet to really test the handling. Lots of very straight streets here.

CONGRATS EXCITED (sorry for being so late on this hahaha). You finally got your TSX,......it looks sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Not as fast as a NBP though LOL. Great review and pics,...........take more pics.

Question for who ever,......what does the sign in thing do? I have had my TSX for like 4 months and I didnt "sign in". Should I go do it,......do you just copy and paste the different things and put in your own info?

When I get my sabersport M3 style spoiler back and painted it will get added to my TSX. I like my new wheels. In a few years some performance mods like headers and a quiet CAI will be a consideration. I will be adding the Acura Music Link but that's not really a mod I guess.

Excited - thanks for snapping those interior shots.

I think I like the gauges better than the ones on the 04-05. If you get a chance it would also be interesting to see it with all the buttons, etc., lit.
