I am wondering whether i can integrate IPod/Zune with the Factory Audio using Play + Drive ??

The Drive + Play isn't designed for integration into the factory system. Its designed to use the controls and screen that come with it and transmit the audio through the factory system. If the 05 has XM you can get the iSimple. I've got one in my 08 and it works great. Gives me text and allows me to use the steering wheel controls and everything.

 

Be warned, the iSimple is plagued with various bugs for the TSX.

for the .26 firmware:
In the top display it will say "XM Loading"
The unit does not initialize properly about 40% of the time when you start the car, therefore the radio modes must be cycled through before it works properly.
The gain for the volume is noticeably lower than CD quality sound.

This has been confirmed by Tony (a rep for the isimple). He has stated that the iSimple has not been FULLY tested in the TSX.

 

Once Tony sent me the right firmware for it, it seems to work fine. The volume is lower than CD, but the controls seem to work fine. To be fair, mine's only been in for maybe a week now, but its been flawless.

Thanks a lot for your inputs..

As i got the Wired FM Transmitter along with Drive+Play i am thinking of using it to connect my iPod/Zune (for that matter any Mp3 Player) . I know with this i won't be able to use the Audio controls in the Nav or on the Steering columns..That's fine with me..I am primarily looking to plugin my iPod into the Factory audio instead of using the ear phones..

I contacted the Harmon Kardon reg plugging the Wired FM Transmitter and i might need to get one of the Antenna Adapter

Does the iSimple works with 2005 TSX Navi ??
