pretty good other than trying to find the correct wires since there are multiple wires of the same description...

Probably the easiest part was taking off the door panel. After we figured out we didn't need to take off the armrest

Basically 3 screws, pop the piece off near the side mirror and pop the panel off. The window/lock controls were easy to take off also.

I would do one wire at a time. The reason I blew a fuse was I had all the wires exposed and one of them touched the frame. So do 1 at a time!

We exposed the wire on the module and in the wire loom and basically wrapped it around before we soldered it on. We had solder with us also so we piled it on to make sure that they were together.

The toughest part was trying to find which cable. Pretty much I was so pissed off b/c I thought there would be only one color combo it would be simple...it wasn't. Looking at the pictures did help a lot. There were green with white, meaning more green with a white line but then there was a white wire with a green stripe. That just got us really confused and it happened on a couple of wires. There were 2 black wires also. I wish I could have taken pictures for you guys so you could see but it was getting dark and we wanted to finish up ASAP since my buddy was trying to catch "24".

Also remember to put the door wire back so you can open your door from the inside...I didn't realize that I forgot to do that till I got back home...

All in all, it took us about 2 hours. a good 30 mins was trying to figure out which wires to solder together. Really this shouldn't take you but 1 hour or less. All I lost was a 20A fuse out of it but that's easily replaced.

BTW....you can't press the lock button fast. you have to press lock once then wait a second and press it again to get it to go up b/c if you press it really fast, it won't work. I found that if you press the lock while the window is going up, you can't press the double lock to make it go up again...

anyway...I hope this helps...

Helms needs to issue these for the 2006 already so I can get electrical diagrams.

Until then I've learned my lesson about using 2004 materials that don't match up with the 2006.

This seems to be an Acura curse. I've done it on two different Acuras and several people have mentioned that they did it. Its easy to forget that thing!

Nice write up!
