Dont think like that man.
if you think you over paid, you're going to be worried that you overpaid.

Congrats on your beautiful 08 TSX!
Do you have any plans for the car?

Actually, an 08 for $5K (assuming clean title) is a good deal in my book. Most 08 TSX blue-book are around $10,000-$15,000 with 50,000 to 100,000 less miles. There is no guarantee the higher price give you a better vehicle. My 06 with just under 120,000 miles has been rock solid with routine maint, tires, battery, brakes, and wipers. Sometimes very low mileage can be worst for a car compared to high hwy mileage. The only thing I would start doing is double checking the serpentine belt, radiator hoses, plug wires are in good condition. Replacing all fluids (AT, brake, anti-freeze, power steering, check A/C). And you might have to plan for alternator, starter or suspension parts; but, that could still be good for another 100K.

The TSX wasn't the best seller; but, it might have been the best car Acura sold in its line-up during that time.

so, you didnt do research or had the car inspected before buying it!?

in general the TSX is bullet proof, but if the previous owner didnt take care of the car...................................
All bets are off.

make sure you're fluent with maintenance work! and take care of your car and she will take care of you!

5K for a 08 TSX with 200k is a good deal. These car can last up to 300k with maintnance alone and have little issues. If your going to do a tranny fluid change do a 3x3 fluid exchange. Drain 3 quarts, add 3 quarts, and drive 50-100 miles. After that repeat if wanted.

They are great cars, and like someone else said it was the best car acura ever produced.

Well, any car you purchase at 200k miles is going to be risky, not just the TSX. On the plus side, since you bought an 08 you're less likely to experience problems that are apparent in the 04-05 year TSX's.

I'd say if you don't know the maintenance history of this car, just watch out for AC, alternator, transmission fluid, accessory belt, accessory belt tensioner, etc. Basically the maintenance of ANY car at 200k miles. Enjoy it.

Can we take all take a moment and admire that $10 fills his tank halfway..but anytime I buy a car I always change every fluid, filters, spark plug even if it was done a week ago. The tsx is a pretty solid car. My 05 has 178k on it and the only thing that happened to it other than normal maint was a coil went bad and alternator went out. I just picked up a 04 with 168k on it and same thing as my 05 no major problems. As long as it was cared for it'll be a great car. I forget who the guy on herenis but he has a white 04 I believe with like 430k miles it. Awesomeeeee.
