Departing with my baby...
If all goes well tomorrow I will be ordering a new BMW 525i w/ automatic and premium package. I'll be leasing this car for 28 months and, who knows, I may be back to the TSX family again for the 2009 model year. I should have the new car before the end of the year.
I'm sure that a few of you would be like
as the 525i is not the typical choice for a TSX enthusiast. I debated whether to get a 330i instead, but with a 10 month old baby at home I figured that it would be better to move into a larger vehicle rather than to smaller one.
It is hard to compare the TSX and the 525i as they are very different. On the minus side I'll be loosing some features that I have on the TSX (Xenon lights, heated seats, and 6 disk CD changer). Not too happy about that, specially since the MSRP of the BMW is $47k (this shows you how really well equipped our TSXs are). On the plus side, well, I had always promised myself that one day I would treat myself to a beemer and with the current BMW lease promotion the time was right (I'm getting it for $0 down and $539 /mo + tax with 12k miles/year and just first month, security deposit, and license due at signing)
I'll report back my impressions after I get a chance to settle in the new ride.
In the mean time I have a couple of weeks to find a new home for my TSX before I have to trade it in at Carmax or BMW. I would really like for this car to stay within my family/friends or with someone who is into cars and will value all the time and effort that I have put in to keep this car in superb condition over the past two years. I'm thinking that most likely it will end up with someone in my office, we will see.
If you are in South Florida and perhaps would be interested on my TSX just send me a quick e-mail and we can chat. I have a 2004 CG, Auto, non-navi with 24k miles. The car was manufactured on 06/04 and I purchased it on 08/17/04. It has been garage kept since day one and is exceptionally clean and free of any dents or dings.
I'm thinking that $21,500 OBO would be a fair starting point given the condition/miles. What do you think?

You'll enjoy it, I loved mine, though it wasnt a 5, as I didnt need the room. Im still debating on if I will pony up for the new M3 when they release it next year or wait til the 2009 TSX rolls out...cause those concept pics of it are sick looking.
You will love the 5, but hate the Idrive...its a pain in the arse.

Amazing that on a $47m car, xenons are not standard. The fact that you're not getting heated seats shouldn't be a factor since you reside in S. Florida (unless you're 75 years old and get the chills when the temp drops below 80 degrees, but you say you have a 10 month old so I guess that's not the case). Good luck with the Bimmer. I wanted to get the new 3 coupe but I'm too anal to take a $40m car anywhere I would have to park it that wasn't in my garage.

As a reference, last summer, I had a chance to purchas an '04 non-nav with 28k miles (1.5 years old at the time) for $19.5k.
Yours has less miles, but at this point, it's a ~2.5 year old car.
