Just to give ya'll a heads up..

Just saw a preview of upcoming stories on Dateline a few hours ago. They're going to have a story on a few midsize vehicle test crashes (5 maybe?), but they didn't mention any of the cars. Sounded like one of the cars did really poorly though. They showed the head IIHS guy standing in front of what looks like the interior of a TL praising how a car should protect the driver in the event of a crash. I only caught a glimpse of some brushed aluminum accent by the door, but didn't look like a TSX. They showed it so quick, it caught me off guard. The next airing of Dateline is this Sunday.

To bad you didn't have a DVR (digital video recorder) You could have just backed it up.

I'm a dealer for Dish, and I can also get some really great prices on Replay as well. If you need the hook up let me know.

NBC has already posted the text version of their report on their site:

Summary: TSX earns a "Good" and a "Best Pick".

Thats great!

Hooray to Acura to building a safe well-built car.

As for the Suzuki Verona, I don't know abou that. That would be some serious injuries if it were a real person!

They didn't change anything, it's a different test. This is a safety/crash test, the other was just a damage/repair test. The last two tests we've heard about were high speed crash tests in which vehicle occupant safety was the focus as opposed to what it would cost to repair the car.

i see, so if you get in a accident you wont be harmed but it'll cost you $$$$ to get it fixed...better car bills then medical bills i guess

So you shouldn't try to commit suicide by crashing you TSX, 'cause you'll probably live and have to pay for it

great results. The Japanese are meeting and possibly exceeding the Euros on the safety front. Kudos to the engineers.
