Dash Lights, always cranked?

I always have my dash lights on full brightness even at night... Do you guys do the same or dim it with the lights on?

I lose my night vision if the dash lights are too bright. I have them turned down a couple notches for night time.

No way I could handle "retina scorching" high at night.

I turned em down for night, but they're invisible at dusk.

So, full bore 8 dots night/day.

Almost, but not quite. I have to knock it down a notch at night. 7 dots for me.

i keep mine barely above lit. i used to have white guages on my last car and because the needle/panel indicators contrast, i set the lights on dim and my eyes became used to it. besides, it's bright enough in my car when fools come up behind with their highbeams on. :shakehd:

no votes for dim/blind driving or for people who set it and never change it afterwards?

If, at night, other dirvers can see your face clearly because of all the dash lights reflecting off of it then its waaaay too bright.

I leave it on full brightness all day and night. That's the very first thing that I "set" when I took delivery of my TSX.

Full bright at night is too much. My only complaint with the brightness is if I turn on my headlights during the day and it's raining, I have to flip it to full bright, same with the nav.

Depends. In the city (LA) full bright is a bit much but not really all that bad with all the ambient light around outside. One dot under full works fine.

But... get it on a rual highway in Southern Utah on a moonless night and it's really blinding. I have to turn it down in those situations or I can't see the road well.

Bottom line, if it's really dark outside, then everything inside has to be a lot darker too.
