Curbed Wheels Clear Bra - FL

I was at a crazy Bank of America last week and curbed my wheels in the narrow drive thru bay. I went nutso because it was so dumb, and i made it worse when i tried to get off the curb. There were no poles or markings to let me know when I had cleared it. UGH.

I need to find an inexpensive way to fix it, the scratches are only where the wheel meets the tire. Think my dealer can "buff" them out? Anyone know of a "Wheel Doctor" in central fla? Recommendations?

Also, I need a clear bra ASAP. these Central FLA bugs are killing my paint and I'm running out of elbow grease... Also, starting to notice hwy nicks already. Anyone know of a central fla clearbra installer that can do it on his site?

Thanks guys!

Clearbra from Ziebart was kinda expensive
I did it with window tinting and it cost me $700 .

I think to get the clear bra alone it was like $450 from Ziebart

There is a $450 kit and an $350 kit if I remember correctly

The cheaper kit only covers the front and bumper,
but I got the "better" one that cost $100 more, just to cover the fenders

The Orange Park dealer had a vender name Rockblocker. You can try searching for them. Or perhaps your dealer knows.

just buy a new wheel off ebay, it'll probably be cheaper or about the same price and look better

so its 450$ total including installation?

check out the autopia.org. They have some info how to remove the scratches on the wheel. It doesn't look easy and might require alot of work but probably the cheapest way to go. You should stick with xizor's idea though.

Go to 3M's dealer locator to find a certified installer for (the best type of) clear bras. BTW, the clearbra does not prevent bugs from getting stuck to it and you have to clean them off the same way as regular paint. It does prevent scratches, dings, and rock chips though.

Ask your installer which template they use for the clearbra, too. Mine was cut by Proform, is a perfect fit, and covers the bumper, fenders, 24" up the hood, headlights, fog lights, and the painted front surfaces of the side mirrors. It cost $995 installed (includes all prep work, so I didn't have to clean the car right before bringing it in).

Of course the clear isnt going to prevent bugs from sticking to the front. You still have to wash it, no teflon coating on it. That would be nice though!!! But you still want to wash and wax the clear bra just like you would your paint.

I just had my clearbra installed by Ultrashield of Orlando. They charged me $545 (inc Tax) for 18in up the hood, headlights, fogs, fenders, bumper, and rearviews. They also offered a piece for the ledge by the trunk, but I need to have a nick touched up before I do that.

Overall, it took them about 5 hours to install, they came to me, and were very professional. Will give an update in a week to let you know how the heat has sealed some lines and bubbles out.

$545 is definately a Florida price for all that stuff. Good score Soooooooooooooooo much competition in FL. What film did they use?

Lets see some pics.

Smart move with the clear bra. Just make sure to keep it clean and waxed and it should look good for a long while.
