Cruise Control

Was advised by dealer not to use Cruise Control until after 900 miles... True?false?
Have a 400 mile trip coming up and would like to use it but I only have 300 miles on my baby. Thanks guys.

That's probably a good idea. You don't want to just sit on a highway cruising at the same speed for extended periods while you're breaking in your engine. Try to vary your revs whenever possible.

Thanks bro, haven't used it yet. I figure it's OK as long as I change the RPM like you said. Just that the salesman was pretty firm about not using it until after 900miles. No big deal, I don't sit on CC for all that long anyway, I have heavy foot...

it's in the manual. do you need to be told about everything you purchase?

plus breakin in period is overrated for this car. i'm sure it will be fine regardless of how you drove the 1st 1000miles.

I have heard about TSX's that hestitate at a certain RPM because they used cruise control a lot before the break in period was over.
