Cracked Fog light Lens replacement

This past weekend a rock cracked my driverside fog light lens. Could someone tell me if the link below will fit my 08 tsx? The listing sates 04 05 06. If they do not fit, cold someone suggest where i could find a replacement for less than $50

The cheapest i could find online that states it will fit an 08 is $118.

Thanks for your help.

Those are 04/05 fog lights (they fit in the little side vents). But...from I remember from rockblocker, they all use the same dimension lenses. Perhaps you can disassemble it to re-use the glass?

both of the foglights on my 06 tsx cracked within the first 6 months of ownership. The dealer replaced them free as a one time goodwill. I now have rockblocker on them. My car will be 2 in nov. It has just over 60,000 miles.

those lights wont fit an 08. both my lenses cracked on my 06. i'm actually in the process of replacing the lenses with lexan. the silicone is drying on the last one now. then 1 more coat of silicone just for good measure and they are good to go.

No they don't make lens replacement but you can do a lexan fix replace or order fromt he guy and c l ub rsx

http://forums.c l u b rsx.com/showthread.php?t=348644&highlight=lexan%2Bfog

watch out 04-05 will not fit 06-08 the mounting brackets aren't the same. 04-05 are simialr to rsx in also the same part numbers.

If they wil replace it for you as one time good will, they will replace the new fog light housing (the one with broken len), you may have to wait for couple week if the part is not in stock

I think it's interesting how I've heard of so many people having their fog lights crack. I've had my TSX for close to 2 years, and I have never had one crack, shatter.

Maybe I've been lucky?

No, the fog lights are glass. The headlights are a lexan-type plastic.

Anyways, i called the dealer, and they agreed to do a 1 time goodwill replacement. (Baierl Acura - Wexford PA) He also stated that they have had countless service requests for cracked fog lights.

I hope the new one last longer than 2K miles. The next time they crack, im taking the Lexan replacement method.

IMO,this is a poor design on Acura's part. Why would they use glass on an area that is prone to rock chips? Wonder if they corrected the situation on the god awful 09's?

Great to hear that-not all dealers are stealerships. My dealer, Lehigh Valley Acura-Emmaus, Pa) is excellent. I would advise you to put rockblocker on them (go to rockblocker.com website)

Does that rockblocker really work though? I don't see how some protective film will prevent a glass lens from shattering.

Its like a tint when someone smashes your window it helps hold it together rather than smashing it.

Now this is only like a 10% chance difference but people do go by it.

I do not think it is a 100% guarantee but it sure does help. I do alot of highway driving (I-95) with alot of trucks. Rockblocker has been on my tsx for at least a year now. (no cracks-knock-on-wood). The other bad thing about rockblocker is if you leave your foglights on the rockblocker might melt. I only use my foglights when it is foggy.
