Console box (behind the shifter) light

Do you have a light in your "console box" (behind the shifter)? It should be checked when the parking lights, or headlights, are on. Otherwise, it likely has no voltage applied.
The wiring diagram on Page 22-180 of the Service Manual indicates a 1.4W light in the Console Box. But, I have found no light in my console.

If by behind the shifter you mean the one under the armrest, then there is no light in there. If by behind the shifter you mean the one below the radio but above the "not an ashtray" compartment, then there is a light.
Behind the shifter = under the armrest.
Thanks, fellows.
Interesting that the Service Manual wiring diagram shows a "Console Box" light (P. 22-180) that is wired to the same voltage source as the Glove Compartment Light, but there is no light in the "Console Box"; presuming that the Console Box is the box under the armrest.

That's the light they must be talking about.

I actually got on of those lighter splits, and added a snake wire light that shines out of the hole, to give the inside a bit more blue on the climate control panel =P
