chrome door trim replacement...

i was wondering if the chrome trim on the exterior door is replaceable? i noticed that mine already has a bunch of scratches (one relaly long one too that you can feel).

has anyone replaced those (i am thinking in a year when it looks really horrible i'd just get a new piece of it was cheap). or could you just use brasso or something?

yeah sorry i wasnt more specific. i mean the little chrome piece that is on the actual handle that you pull, not the one around the door.

is that real chrome? anyone know if normal chrome polish is ok for it.

If I remember correctly, the chrome pieces on that actual door handles are sold along WITH the handle (with painted OEM color) for about $57USD.

You could probably pry the piece off but it would get really bent up and would be usless so you would have to get inserts custom made.

Although I have to say, I just used blackout tape and I thought it looked really good. That would be my choice if I were you.

I was contemplating buying all 4 and getting them repainted, but at $240USD + paint cost, that's kinda pushing it.
