icebox and SRI

Wait, before someone says search

I have been all over the internet and read just about every thread on intakes, I just had a quick question.

I have narrowed my search for intakes down to the comptech icebox or some form of SRI (probably the K&N - possibly the AEM) I am not expecting massive power gains here, but I would like a little boost over stock, and I really enjoy the mean sound at WOT that I have heard from the injen CAI sound clips. (although I am not going the CAI route...piece of mind issues with neighborhood floods)

I know the icebox is technically a CAI but I heard it does not produce much gain and that the sound is barely noticable even at WOT. It seems to me the icebox would be almost the same as me taking the resonator out. ??

The SRI, on the other hand, seems to produce a sweet sound, but not much gain since it will absorb some heat from under the hood, especially when in traffic or on hot days. Would the SRI absorb more heat than the stock airbox since it is exposed?

Which one of these would be the best all around intake? I lean toward SRI for the growl, but would the icebox be better for my motor since it would most likely bring in cooler air?

Thanks!
