Hi guys I finally got my TSX and I am looking forward to meeting some you. I know the location has changed a couple of times, are you still planning to meet at RU by the Ikea?

Just noticed that the air and water show is next weekend... if you're coming in from out of town, that might be something nice to take the kids and/or significant other to.

Looks like I'm going to the meet with hail damage. I don't think it will be fixed before the 16th... I'm still welcome to show up right?
My son and I may or might not go to the next venue (for lunch). If we go, we probably wouldn't be able to stick around for a long time.
See everyone there...

Sorry to hear about your hail damage OldMan...but you are always welcome, at least you are to me anyway. I'm lucky that my TSX has been through 2 hailings, but luckily they have been smaller storms and thus no damage has been done to my car yet. I hope it stays that way as we've had some mad crazy weather this summer...

Absolutely you're still welcome. Hey, I almost had a woman here in Cincinnati on Monday the 4th, rearrange the rear end of my car. All I heard was screeching tires and as I looked back, she just missed my rear bumber by about 4 inches.

That object was definitely closer than she appeared and I was far more pissed than I appeared.

Luckily, the man above was watching out for me OR on the flip side, he supremely interverned on one idiot in the world that day.

A little bit more bad luck... I called my insurance company and the company they dealt with for damage appraisal sent someone. When the adjustor came, it was starting to shower a little bit (around 3:00pm) so out he came with a squegee that he said was used at body shops. I thought it was the coolest thing as he squegeed the water off my car to check for hail damage. The next morning, I was sitting down at my desk and my co-worker comes asking "What happened to your car?". We rushed out to my car and lo and behold, SCRATCHES ALL OVER MY HOOD, ROOF AND TRUNK! The squegee was not cool after all.
I spoke with the adjustor and he was cool about it, not defensive, so that helped me calm down. They're sending someone else this morning to take a look at the damage. I checked with my dealership yesterday and they said it can be buffed out, whew! Anyway, I'll wait to see if the adjustor gives me paint money. If they do, I'll get it buffed out and pocket the change.

Hey Jason any recommendation for a good hotel in the area that would be near the meet(10-20mins), but still allow easy access to the L for downtown later on? (30 min?)

In addition, would it be asking too much for a hotel with a nice parking lot?

I'd like to book this weekend.

Moda_Way any hotels near your mom and dad's with access near to the L?

Wiz is staying at the Courtyard. The 'L' doesn't run anywhere near Schaumburg. The 'L' is a short range (to downtown) subway system. What you need is called 'Metra' and there is a stop in Schaumburg. It's a good system and there's ample parking:

http://metrarail.com/maps.html

Surf around and check it out. The Metra ends in downtown Chicago at Union Station. You can then take a cab to anywhere downtown or then board the 'L.'
