Cherpin the tires??
I know that cherpin the tires isn't a good habit to get in to. But how do You do it? Do you just let the clutch fly and floor it or what? Or ar you easy on the throttle?
#1 its Chirping C H I R P like birdy chirp chirp
#2 A TSX doesnt have a lot of low end torque so to get it to chrip pretty good you would have to let the clutch out at about 3000... or if you disable the stablity control system and floor it in 2nd around a turn that will do it too

OK Guys...check it out...i know its kinda hard to chirp into 2nd, but its not impossible...I noticed that its harder for me to chirp into 2nd gear when my VSA is off. Also, now that I have my intake...I found that it's easier to chirp...and on the freeway onramp, I was able to chirp going into 3rd...
Well, back to the topic of discussion...the way I chirp...I'm in first and keep pulling until near redline, about 6800 RPM, then I hit the clutch, keep the gas in half way, shift into 2nd then quickly, but smoothly, get off the clutch and I hit the gas again to wide open throttle...but make sure you get into gear before letting go of the clutch...

The best way to overwhelm the tires (chirp) in a gear shift, particularly in a car without tons of torque is to "power shift". Most shifting is done via "lift shift", power shifting is done without lifting the throttle. Just engage and disengage the clutch very quickly (remembering to shift in the process). This technique takes a little practice, isn't great for the drivetrain, but will result in the hardest/fastest shifts which gives you the best chance of breaking traction and producing the aural comfort food of the brain called chirpin' the tires.
As an aside magazines use lift shifting for their performance tests, this is the reason an experienced stick man/woman can produce times below those reported in magazines despite the fact magazines use "professional" drivers.
Also, in most cars with traction control it is more difficult to break traction, at least significantly, with it on. Not having assualted a TSX's drive train in that manner I can't comment on it, but it is counter-intuative to think it would be easier, no more difficult possibly, but hard to understand how it would be easier.

i find chirpin the tires from first to second easy. i can do it without a second thought.
1. take the car to redline, about 7000 or so
2.let go of gas and press in clutch at the same time and shift at the same time FAST
3. pop out clutch and slam the gas to the floor
*URT* hehe, chirpin is easy, with or without VSA. but yea, this is horrible to your tranny, so i wouldn't do it very often, i havent done it in a lonnnnggg while
i've even chirped third when i had my 18" volks, with VSA on, so yea, shift fast is the key, but it's hard and i've only done that few times.
just make sure you don't misshift. unless you have money to buy a new motor. and technically, shouldn't be driving like that on the streets anyway. no more crazy driving from me.
