changing brake fluid - problem

Tried to change brake fluid in my TSX today and had to give up. Please help.
I've done on my motorcycle (Honda too) several times, never had any problems.

On my TSX I attach a clear line with adapter to the bleed screw, open the screw, pump my Mitivac and see more air than fluid in the line. If I close the screw and start pumping, I can build up vacuum in the line with no problem, so I know there are no leaks in the vacuum system itself.

I cycled through maybe 12oz of fluid on one wheel, and still there is still more air than fluid in the line. And it makes a hissing and bubbling sound. I am pretty sure I am missing something in the procedure, please help.

whats this mitivac thing?

brake flushing is pretty simple.

Start at the appropriate axle first.
1. pump brake pedal until hard and push against it.
2. open bleeder and let all fluid drain(while keeping the brake pedal down)
3. close bleeder
4. pull pedal up and make it firm again
5. repeat 1 through 4 this process until you see new fluid and keep an eye on the brake resevior, make sure it doesnt get below minimum line while the fluid in draining!

then switch over the next axle.

Don't forget to submerge the other end of the clear hose in a container of brake fluid to avoid air re-entering from that end when the pedal is released, or the Mityvac lever is pressed.

Pull the bleed nipple all the way out and put some grease on the threads. You're pulling air in around the threads because they aren't very well sealed. It's only a problem when you're trying to vacuum bleed the brakes.

This makes sense, will try sealing the threads next time. Thanks.
