center console question broken tab

Do I just gotta remove the top part? I see 2 screws holding it by a hinge so do I just have to remove those 2 screw and the top will just come of and I just replace with another top right?

Get the replacement top piece (scrap yard!) and just unscrew @ the hinges.

This happened to me last winter, I snapped the latch off. I bought a new oem piece from a dealer $5 on eBay. You have to slide the exterior armrest from the inner part to access it. Didn't take too long and there is a diy link somewhere.

I did this repair last year. I am attaching the relevant pages from Helms. Step 4 is the one that required a little special knowledge. Once the sliding part is separated, it is pretty straightforward.

Looks like it. Is it easy to replace?

Once everything is disassembled, replacement is easy. The texture of the plastic of the replacement tab I received is a bit different from the original, but it's not a highly visible piece so no big deal.

Where do you think I can purchase an oem hatch and not an aftermarket hatch?

Not sure what you are asking. The part # in post 5 is an OEM piece.

I just thought that meant its not oem as you said the piece you receive is a little difference.

The replacement locking tab I got was an OEM piece. It's just that the texture and finish of the plastic was slightly different than my original. Honda may have switched parts suppliers at some point. This is a pretty common issue when looking for replacement parts for older cars.
