Unhappy Caught speeding

I hereby declare: I'm a total idiot. I got caught speeding today: doing 85 in a 65 zone. Worst! Had I had my radar in place (it was stored away), it would definitely have picked up the CHP unit -- and I would have avoided the whole thing.

At least the cop was cool and wrote me up for 75, so it will be cheaper and I can do traffic school.

He said he liked my car. I told him it got me in trouble, though, and he replied, "For your consolation, I also stop '68 VWs".

Interestingly enough, he only asked for my driver license. No insurance or car registration papers. Myabe because it's a luxury car?!

And he never caught sight of the fact I don't have my front license plate. I lucked off in that case.

Oh well, I have so much going on right now, I don't have time to feel depressed about it.

is it illegal to not have a front license plate? a lot of the TSX's up in the gallery here on this site seem to not have any front plates. the car looks better without the front plate though, that's for sure.

In most states, yes. But until I get caught, I'm keeping it off.

Ironicallly, I was awarded best employee of the month for May at the police department where I work*.

* I resigned the day before I got word of the award.
